Hopefully, you will get soon. The processing time for new SP inside Canada is 15 weeks. I applied on July 28th and got the decision after almost 15 weeks. So, hopefully u will be getting soon now.

I applied for a new study permit, not an extension, from inside canada. My program level changed from Masters to PhD. My previous study permit was for 2 years which expired(Sept 2021). So, I applied for a new study permit (in July 2021) in order to continue my studies in PhD program.

The processing time for study permit extension is around 50 days. So, If you have applied on Oct 22nd, then I think you have to wait for sometime.

Hi, I got my application for study permit approved yesterday evening. Hopefully, I will get the SP by mail in 3-4 days.

I don't think there is any specific time. I read on different threads that sometimes u get a decision after 7-10 days when ur review starts and sometimes it even takes months. So, you cannot estimate how much days it will take for the decision to come after the start of the review.

I sent them the webform last week. Today I got an update in my application that " We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements." Let's see what is next. I applied on July 28th, 2021.

Okay. Thats really strange that they haven't even given the extension. Because the processing time for extension of study permit is just 44 days. I applied from Quebec (Montreal) as well. Its almost three months and no response from IRCC.
