i also did my test on Feb 28th, but my tracker still says my test is in progress

After providing your fingerprints, give it 3 weeks for the tracker to show Background completed. That is what I saw for one applicant, during this month of Feb. He gave fingerprints on Feb 6 at RCMP and later today which is Feb 26, his tracker said background completed.

It looks like most applicants that receive finger print requests have their file at Vancouver office specifically.

Yes it is a good sign because you will not receive a finger print request. Finger print request adds more waiting time to the process.

Is 780 as physical presence correct?

It will come soon. From what I see, it comes after 11 -12 days after submission.

Roughly how many days of absence did you have in the five year period. I am wondering if that could be a factor as well. I am also considering attaching a scan of all pages of passport in advance.
