Updated means that your card was sent to production, meaning that the photos were accepted.

Yeah you can call them to double-check but that's usually the pattern :)

Yes it changes from Submitted to Updated, then when you click on it and click back, it goes back to submitted.

No I didn't get an update when they asked for photos, so you're totally safe. The update means that your card went to production (meaning your photos were accepted). Your status will turn to approved later this week. Congrats :)
