Hello everyone,

I read on cic.ca which was said that work hours gained while studying as full time students will not count as a working hours. What if I gained the working hours while I was studying as a part-time student will my work hours count?

Hello everyone,

no, it doesn't under CEC. Working Part-time while studying doesn't count towards CEC however if you are working just part time and not studying or you're graduated then that counts. But the total hours has to be 1560 (both Full and Part time). It's quite clear on the CIC website.
Also, studying part-time as an international student may impact your ability to obtain PGWP.

Why not just finish your school as full time while working as a part time and then once you graduate, apply for PGWP, work for 1 year to gain Canadian experience and then apply PR under CEC. And if not CEC then there's PNP.
This is what most international students do.
