My parents will apply for their visitor visa and subsequently also for super visa in the coming years.

Now I will renew their passport however my question is whether the "permanent address" mentioned in their passport will have to be the address of the house that they own now to show the home ties? 0r it can be the address in which they used to live (rented apartment) but no longer lives now?

the benefit of putting the old permanent address is that they will be able to get the passport faster and avoid hassles due to extra verification.

Also note that we will put the present address to be the one in which the live now and owns too. thanks in advance for your reply,

Please, I got Ontario PNP nomination on November 29th 2021 and I accepted it. But unfortunately till now, the additional 600 points have not been added to my EE profile, thereby causing me to miss the Dec 10 PNP draw.

I have sent mail to IRCC and I got a generic reply and I also sent a mail to OINP and they replied that they cant do anything but IRCC.

Please advice me on what to do.

If your application for a nomination from Ontario was approved, Ontario will inform IRCC of the nomination and it can take 1-3 weeks before the nomination can be reflected on your account.

There are massive backlogs and you will just have to wait.

Hi @legalfalcon. I need your help on clarifying some concern.

I might be sent to US for an international assignment. My medical has already expired on Dec 18. If I'm going to go to US, I believe I have to update my address on a webform and perform re medical exam in US.

Is it possible to go to Canada collect my PR card (assuming I get the PPR) and continue to finish my assignment in US.

Will there be any complications in this?

yes, you can.

IRCC takes into consideration all times in UTC. However, the Province of nomination may not. The day and time you apply, your nomination must be valid.

Good day @legalfalcon please I need your expertise. If I’m currently on vacation say in the United States and I get my ready for visa mail while there, can I stamp my passport there or I’ve ti wait till I’m back home? Also considering the 30 days timeline to stamp. Kindly advise.

All nominations issued have a date and you have to submit your application on or before that date, i.e. when your nomination is still valid.

If your nomination has expired, you can request the nominating province to renew your nomination. Each Province has its on rules on how the nomination will be renewed.

Usually not if you have not spent more than 6 months in that country. However, on a case by case basis, IRCC can ask for PCCs if your profile indicates that a PCC would be required to assess criminality.

The address that you see in the passport is of no consequence. Most countries do not even have an address on their passport. Some do.

For IRCC, it is irrelevant and you have to provide the address where the person currently lives and has lived in the past.
