Hi, does anyone know if everyone gets the passport request when they get invited to take the test?

I got my invitation to take the test and the email and the attachment in the email did not mention anything about passport request but it seems other people were asked for this? Even when I took the test there was no prompt to upload my scanned passport and I don't see a request for it when I check the my application status in the tracker,

When was your background check done? Which location did you get your test from ?

My background check was completed like back in April and I got the test from Ottawa since I am in Ottawa

Nope, not everyone gets that. Before COVID, it used to be that you would have an interview the day of your test, but nowadays most people just take the test and then they get the oath invite in a few months. The only time I used my passport throughout the whole process was to send copies of it with my original paper application.

Guys, I did finally the citizenship test. My wife and I got both. 20/20. Looking forward for some update in status tracker.

How many days for your physical presence qualification ...oct 2018 to feb 2021? I don't get it.

I had 1134 days (from the calculator) before sending the application. Specifically, 769 days as permanent resident and 365 days as temporary resident (before being permanent resident) while I was working in Canada as post-doctoral fellow.

Hi folks,
Just wondering, before I completed the test my wife came and spoke to me from the door , I did respond but did not turn away from laptop screen. since its been told there is no video and recording. I should be ok right ?

Also when they ask allow for webcam to be accessed its only webcam rt ? I was reading out question to myself , since no recording/video

Hi everyone,
I took the citizenship test 3 days ago, got 17/20 and it just changed today as "completed" on the tracker. The thing is I took the test in a public library and didn't pay attention on the fact that I must pass the test fully cleared face. So obviously, due to covid measures, i took the test with my face covered with my mask... I didn't realise only after when I read again terms and conditions on ircc website. Do you think that the test will automatically get cancelled ?

Was there any call or u all good

I gave my test on Dec 17th, and my wife on Dec 18th.

During my test, I didn't realize I was using VPN and after successfully uploading ID and Self picture, I started the test and everything was going smoothly until I reached Question 9, when I see a message saying that the webcam is not able to monitor (although I could see the video feed in the lower bottom right corner). Upon clicking Ok, it would take me to the App ID and UCI screen, Upon entering those again, it took me to Q 9, but after clicking next, same message appears and this cycle goes on 5-6 times.

I then realized about the VPN, and thus disabled it, and everything went smoothly afterwards. I got 20/20.

For my wife'e test, we had VPN disabled from beginning (of course) and she got 18/20.

Now today, her status is updated as COMPLETED and mine isn't.

Anyone with similar experience? I guess I am staring at another test invite?

Dear All,
Forgot the ID Card while taking the test (Very idiotic of me !!)

Instead of showing the ID card, I took the photo of myself absent mindedly.
I have taken the test and passed it . after two hours, I just realized this mistake and not sure what to do about this.

So I have replied to the email explaining the mistake and requested them to consider my Driving License (I attached the file to the email)

Please suggest the options to correct this situation.
