Hello

I have applied citizenship on February 2021, thinking it will be faster than the paper processing. To my horror it's July 2021, 5 months and there is no AOR even.

I am struggling with my job due to not having citizenship and also I can't leave the country because when it will start there is no timeline. I check the processing times and it shows AOR sent for April 2021.

I really am upset and fed up and want to send a formal complaint about my disappointment for the double standards.

Please let me know if this is a right thing to do or it will hamper my application.

woah. hold your horses champ. you should use this time to learn how to be patient, connect with members on the forum and help others who are just starting or behind you in the process . :D

The previous minister was not white but he discriminated against Iranians. I don't think they will necessary discriminate just because they are white and the non-white guy is an example. I hated him so I'm happy he is gone.
The previous minister also was white. The one before the previous one wasn't. I agree having a non-white minister may not solve any possible discriminations because the system is entrenched and changing it needs a fight, which not everyone is willing to have, especially if most of the staff are Caucasians. I believe having a non-white portion of the staff from the different races and ethnicities can counteract the biases in general.

They want to resolve every other world problem than trying to fix the backlog files they have... what a mess... i can imagine what the next auto recorded message will be when you call them up...
This is Canada under the liberal government. They care about humans rights in other countries (south America, China, Russia, ... etc), while RCMP invades first nations' lands with heavy weaponry in Canada after all the bloody history with them. What a hypocrisy.

Looks like no country is shit-free.

paper is being processed quicked coz they do not want more files piling up. Whoever applied paper made a better choice.
I applied in 2016, paid the fees , in 2018 they confirmed they ‘never’ received the application (paper) I have the receipts for the payment, in 2018, I reapplied and paid again, they sent a letter requesting more information in feb 2019 , advising me that I would need to pay the fees, as my application would be starting again, I paid again, immigration assured me that my last 2 payments had been refunded, I have never seen the payments returned ?
received my test invite 14 days ago, did the test 3 days ago, amd now playing the waiting game.
it’s been a horrible experience which I have seriously considered cancelling several times, hoping this is the end of this trial and experience now

What does deficint in Canada has to do with my application?
LOL....it has to do with your taxes for sure. :-)

I thought they will bring all the people to Canada like what happened to Afghanistan. I feel bad for people displaced but Canada IRCC should have different resources for these people but they put our applications back in the line and gives priority to refugee people.
