Study Permit Conditions/Remarks

Hello everyone, I've entry Canada recent days, and have found that in my study permit, there are conditions/remarks like below

Conditions:

1. Must leave Canada by 2024/03/31
2. THIS PERMIT DOES NOT AUTHORIZE THE HOLDER TO ENGAGE IN OFF CAMPUS EMPLOYMENT IN CANADA.
3. May accept employment on or off campus if meeting eligibility criteria as per R186(F), (V) or (W). Must cease working if no longer meeting these criteria.

Remarks/Observations:
May accept employment on or off campus if meeting eligibility criteria as per R186(F), (V) or (W). Must cease working if no longer meeting these criteria.

So is that mean I CAN'T work off campus? only on campus？ But I'm full time student at DLI and I'm not studying a language course, and the study time is definitely more than 6 month, lead to a diploma. Can I amend it?

It says you can work off or on campus. Why do you think it means you can't work off campus???

2. NOT VALID FOR EMPLOYMENT IN BUSINESSES RELATED TO THE SEX TRADE SUCH AS STRIP CLUBS, MASSAGE PARLOURS OR ESCORT SERVICES.
3. MAY ACCEPT EMPLOYMENT ON OR OFF CAMPUS IF MEETING ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AS PER R186(F), (V) OR (W). MUST CEASE WORKING IF NO LONGER MEETING THESE CRITERIA.

I believe that as long as you meet the eligibility criteria indicated in clause 3, you should be able to work off and on campus

I checked my SP and I don't have that second condition that you have. My SP conditions says:

Yes, I meet the eligibility which indicated in 3 but they said I'm not authorized to work off campus, that's very confused me.

Conditions 2 and 3 are contradictory. I think 3 supersedes 2 though, especially since it is repeated in the Remarks/Observation section.

Quite agree, what I thought was as same as yours. I'm going to raise a webform first, then try to amend it. Thank you very much.

You should be fine. You can work off campus as long as you meet eligibility criteria that every other SP Holders do.

Hello, did you apply to amend your study permit?? Did you already receive the new one? How long did it take??

I'm thinking about raising a webform to IRCC and seeing what they said, then amend it. But one month passed, I didn't get any response from them.

Hey buddy, just saw you raised a question about info sharing in another thread in March, and how long did it last?

I'm thinking about raising a webform to IRCC and seeing what they said, then amend it. But one month passed, I didn't get any response from them.

I think the waiting time is long. A friend of mine applied to amend her study permit and she's been waiting for two months and no answer yet. I think I will still to send my study permit to amend it next week. anyways. There is also this phone number which you can call 18882422100

Does your study permit condition printed like mine? I asked many people and they tell me if I meeting item 3, I can work off-campus without doing anything since I already have SIN.

You should be fine. You can work off campus as long as you meet eligibility criteria that every other SP Holders do.

Does your study permit condition printed like mine? I asked many people and they tell me if I meeting item 3, I can work off-campus without doing anything since I already have SIN.

I have exactly the same issue as you, I called IRCC and they told me that it's better if I change it. but I consulted with other migration lawyers and they said that it should be fine, since we still meet the criteria to work off campus (Full time master students at DLI institution). I don't really know what to do because it looks like amend the study permit could take up to 6 months.
