Hi @legalfalcon, please I need your help.
Actually, I did my Medicals in Dec-19 before I submitted my application, I received my remed request in Oct-20 which I completed and in Nov-20 my Application was Approved. After that, radio silence. I now received a remed request again. Is this normal? I’m 29 years old and belong to the M1 Category, i see loads of people getting extensions but somehow I’m being requested a medical again.

Hey guys, just got my new gcms notes and there’s only one noticeable change:
Old notes:
Application assignment
Due date; 2020/06/29
Assigned by: d2791
Assigned to: RC-9515
Most recent notes: (looks like new due date and agent assigned?)
While the new ones I received this morning say:
Application assignment
Due date; 2021/12/01
Assigned by: dc6197
Assigned to: kf19661

My security still says not started and criminality in progress since March 2020! Thank you
so does this mean your file will be worked on in december?

Extension or remedy is based on the assessment of the health branch. IF you received a re-med get it done, it is a good signed and many applicants have received a PPR after the remed.

Hi @legalfalcon

Is it advisable to go do upfront medicals, if I receive a PPR request in coming days, I'll have fewer days left for COPR expiry Jan 6th 2022. So keeping this in mind, is this a good idea to proceed with UpFront Medicals ? If done this would be my 3rd Remeds.

Secondary Office - New Delhi
Re Medicals Status - 6th Jan 2021 Passed
Re Medicals Expiry - 6th Jan 2022
Final Decision - Approved

IRCC is currently discouraging applicants from going for remeds on their own, and when IRCC asks for remeds, they now send a IME number. If you get a remedy yourself, you may have a different IME number and it can take time for IRCC to add it to your file. So better wait for IRCC to ask for remeds.

Thank you so much @legalfalcon. I highly appreciate your quick response regarding my application and keep up the great work you are doing by helping all of us here.
Hello @legalfalcon & other members of this forum!
Hope you all are doing well & staying safe! I have a situation and I need your urgent help. Sorry for the long post & profile information provided at the end.

I submitted my application on Jan 1, 2020 when I was residing in the United States and I moved back to India (home country) in June 2021. I immediately raised a web form to update my mailing address but never received an acknowledgment. I received the 'Ready for Visa' email on November 9, 2021 with detailed instructions with the next steps. The email requires me to send the applicable documents & passport to the New York VAC, USA which makes me assume that the address on file has not been updated. The wrinkle is, I have 30 days to submit my documents otherwise my application will be canceled as per the email.

Also, the first step in the email informed that if there were any "Change in Circumstances" (which included a change in contact information) then I need to contact CPC-Ottawa immediately at the email provided. I immediately sent an email detailing the situation and provided the new contact information.

I am located in Telangana, India so the Bangalore Visa Ofice is catering to this region. Therefore, I raised a web form to update the contact information & wrote an email as well to inform about the situation. The reason I did this: on the IRCC website, I found that if you are outside Canada or the US then you need to contact your local visa office for any change in contact information.

Therefore, my questions are:
1. Is there anything else I need to/can do at this point?
2. If anyone else was in the same situation, can you please share your insights? How did you resolve this situation?
3. How soon can I expect a response from CPC-Ottawa, if anyone has any idea?
4. Is there a way I can speak with an agent to resolve this issue over the phone? If yes, can anyone share a phone number that I can call?

Thank you for all your help.

Hi @legalfalcon

Wondering if you could help with my case.
I've recently relocated to another country and have updated the address via the webform. I also happened to request a GCMS note two months back and no news until now.
I've done remedical in Oct 2020 and two days ago they're asking me to do another remedical. However, in the IME form, it still reflects my old address.

So, I will proceed with the remedical but ask the doctor to change the address? or... I really don't know how to proceed.
Please assist me

Thanks!
