follow-up: I just heard back from the local office 3 hours after sending them an email:

"Dear Applicant:

Thank you for contacting our office. This is to inform you that your enquiry has been forwarded to the responsible unit for their action, you will be contacted with the next steps.
......
"

seems that they will consider my UP request but not sure if they will approve it.
Will update here.

does this mean that my request is approved or something esle?

You should hear a confirmation from them that your UP has been approved along with next steps. Just wait for a week after you raised the request and send a Follow UP mail to check the status. "Urgent" means the response and the further process be quick.

You won't receive a confirmation your UP is approved. You will, however, notice that your application is moving quicker than usual. That is an indicator your UP was approved but for now, you can't know whether your UP request was approved by that email. Good luck!

Depends on your office… some offices do allow this some such as in Calgary, won’t.

Hi , I am new here .my husband is suffering 10th are epilepsy, now he is uk alone.we have doctors notice that he can’t be alone due his healthy.Last 8years since I came to Canada,I always travelled between two countries.This year he had bad seizures again and can’t work from that day.So it is make our life hard for travel to take care of him.Cab I apply for urgent processing for citizenship?I got my or trough asylum.

Hey! So i received email yesterday that UP was approved from Kitchener VO and was told will receive the Test Invite shortly. Just want to know how long does it take from the Test to Oath especially since your file is also with same VO.

in our case, 5 weeks taking into consideration the 2 weeks that we lost because of my husband's ID during test was blurry. They put everything on hold till we sent a clear photo and took them 2 weeks to approve the new Id. I would say on average a month. good luck

You can certainly try.

It sounds like you have been able to travel to the UK without any issues for the last 8 years using a Refugee Travel Document. So I'm not sure if IRCC will consider your request for urgent citizenship processing since there is nothing stopping you from continuing to travel on the RTD like you have over the last several years. But you can try.

It sounds like you have been able to travel to the UK without any issues for the last 8 years using a Refugee Travel Document. So I'm not sure if IRCC will consider your request for urgent citizenship processing since there is nothing stopping you from continuing to travel on the RTD like you have over the last several years. But you can try.

Also to add on what syclla said, i dont remember but i am sure the Health grounds could come in play too. I am so sorry to hear about your problem, hope everything works for you.

Just to update, my UP was approved on 5th and i see the status updated today and scheduled for Test on 11th of Nov, awaiting for e-mail. Thanks

Thank you for you reply.Before he is somewhere else,and hard working for pay everything.now he is not able to work hard.especially since last seizure in April.If I continue travel my kids growing without father in Canada.we really hope to stop separate living in two countries.
Renew travel document is also big problem since pandemic begin.
