IRCC requested for an additional document, my application status was showing "Your action is required" its been 8days now after uploading and the status remain the same. The column for upload is showing update information. Is this normal or what could be wrong? How long does it take for ircc to response cus after such scenario, because the application is over due now

IRCC will take as long as they want to review the additional documents. If for a PFL, then it will take as long as required to verify documents. Status may not change until documents are opened. What do you mean by “overdue” as there are average processing times. Your file can’t be overdue.
Average is 14 weeks (today’s estimate) and don’t know what it was when you submitted. Did you receive a PFL? If so, they will take as long as they want and there are no timeframes. A PFL is a very serious issue.
Yes I received a PFL and I replied with additional document as proof of the information given. my school present term will end next month, and its required for us to be on campus for the winter term. This is really a concern
So you have been studying (and still are) without a permit, and you received a PFL? Why did you start studying with a permit and not defer?
I felt since my studies for this term is fully online, I should just join them while I wait for my visa decision. Not until 5weeks later, I filled the webform and sent with my school enrollment form to inform them that am taking classes online already and my visa processing time has passed the 13weeks stipulated on the portal, only to get the PFL few days later.

Are you sure you transmitted the document after you uploaded it? It's weird that it's still showing update if the document have been properly transmitted and submission completed.
As stated IRCC can take months to a year to respond to PFL because they need to verify all documentation submitted.
@Naturgrl the document summited are not fraudulent, they are valid till date. I wonder why IRCC use the word fraudulent, anyway have sent my reply with proof
You will need to decide what to do about your studies because you have been studying without a permit.
But the PFL said fraudulent (Not my words) and they are pretty good at knowing when documents are fraudulent. If you personally got the new bank statements from your bank with updated proof of funds, and resent them, you should be okay. Also what did the letter tell you to do to resubmit since your application status hasn’t been updated.
