Don't know/have my VO yet. Applied very recently. Been trying to understand if they really received my LOE or not. That dumb website won't tell me what's going on.
If you are looking for a reply specific to your case, forget it. Ask for your VO in the next webform you send

Would they tell me my VO? That question wouldn't be on IRCC's dumb little "priority list" no?

VO will be assigned after completeness check only, you will receive MEP/BIL if your application is deemed to be complete. This used to take 45 days on average but now it is taking 4-5 months.
You know I'm ok with waiting months but nowadays I keep wondering if it's really worth it spending all my time and money to immigrate to such a pathetic country... Everywhere things are back to normal, even in my shitty ass third world country, no covid and no after effects. Jobs are back, official and private operations are back, government works at normal pace, life is back. Then we have this supposed first-world and G7 country which didn't even have that many case/death numbers but is still somehow totally crushed by the pandemic.

You have submitted your application, the only thing pending from your side is biometrics so keep an eye out for that and once that is done, forget about this stupid process as you will get no update for a long time.

Canada has disappointed big time. I have lost all the excitement I once had and now even if I get the PPR, I will be like "meh". I'm considering going to the US via study route regardless of whether I get the Canada PR or not.

This is where it gets tricky. I know some Americans ( which includes Indian, Mexican, El Salvadorians.....) who made their life in US ,they worked so hard for that passport. Us has given them everything in their life so they like to address themselves as an American than an Indian or Mexican or what ever.
Now there is another case which I have seen especially among Indian they like to brag that they are an American /Canadian /...I have seen Indians trying to be American by imitating accents, watching baseball which they don't even know what it is.
The 3rd scenario is related to the 1st one I know only about India so not commenting on others. I assume it is a part of cultural integration. I was almost a vegetarian before coming to US now I eat ham, beef, fish what not,I used to be religious now I am not .So people change and no one chose to be born in their home land but they chose these nations. There is no shame in being an indian or any other nationality because it was not anyone's choice.

Personally, here I might be wrong from others perspective if a country is letting you in ,giving a place to live allow you to enjoy all the benifits of that nation (like powerful passport, free education, rights to start a business, free health care.....care.....-I know there are flaws in all of this, but still it is better that where you are born) and you refuse to even acknowledge as a part them I don't think that is very cool .But showing off in FB group that is BS
It is a matter of perspective
I think if you have the paperwork you can identify yourself as whatever you want, it's up to you.

I would just find it a bit strange to go around identifying yourself as Canadian/American, the moment you got citizenship, because i would expect what defines your identity more is where you're from originally and where you spent your formative years. But that's just my perspective.

At the end of the day it's about where the person identifies the most with, and i understand that desire to identify more with a country where you've immigrated to which has given you greater opportunities and where you've lived for some time.

The one specification i'd make for indians is because they can't have dual citizenship, technically the moment they obtain another citizenship, they aren't Indian citizens, they are at most OCIs. So you can identify yourself as Indian but not an Indian citizen, so there are some semantics involved. It may make more sense to say they're American/Canadian from that standpoint.

thx bro. with your AOR and your status, your good news could be very near.

Can't wait to see everyone on this forum getting their PPRs.

I provided biometrics a few years back in my study permit app. Do I need to it again? Once IRCC said it wouldn't be needed if one has provided biometrics in the last 10 years.

I feel you man. Months back I was so excited and looking forward to saying goodbye to my old life in my current country of residence by the end of this year and beginning a new chapter in Canada at the start of the next year. For this I undertook learning French, getting a license in my profession, studying the legal and tax systems, etc. But with the joke that this entire process is made out to be I’ve thrown all that behind now. I don’t wanna look at anything about Canada until the day I get my PPR.

IRCC and Marco did us dirty. Feels like getting bitchslapped by them throughout the year.

Even if we move eventually, this experience would have left us a sour taste in the mouth.
