it amazes me how ppl could just ignore the purpose of this thread and continue to post whatever here. I literally wasted 5 mins of life going thru several pages of blah blah blah. Can u do ur little chit-chat in FSW-worldwide plz? There r ppl who come here just looking for factual statics. Plz don’t make ppl to fish out some important messages in a sea of ‘chit-chat’ be considerable and respect the rules.
This thread has been an outing for people. Those who are frustrated with the way things are moving about FSW. If you want "facts" you can mine it out of this thread. Perhaps. The facts are simple and perhaps known to all interested in FSW by now. To be honest, looking for more facts in almost a random process is not helpful. chit-chat helps. If not anything else then to know that there are more like us who are in the same situation. Hope it answers your question.

I saw this and didn’t exactly understand what does it mean for all of us
All I could understand was that if officer requests additional documents then it must be provided in the given time frame unless reasonable explanation has been provided by the applicant. Automatic extensions to provide additional documentation no longer applies.

though the contents of the instruction is not disclosed, it is most likely related to having a good duration of medicals validity (6 months+ or sth) before finalization of application(Final Decision & COPR/PRV issuance). Previously, IRCC would finalize even if there were only 3 months left of medicals validity(resulting in 3 months to travel to Canada). This, they are doing to prevent re-working the files since many people fail to travel in the short COPR validity/PR Visa duration due to the covid related travel restrictions/difficulties.

TLDR; a potential good sign for us FSW-O waiting for PPRs. Expect more auto-extensions or re-med requests before finalization.

Program delivery update: COVID-19 – Permanent residence

September 28, 2021
The instructions have been updated to include additional instructions for the processing of permanent residence applications where the principal applicant or accompanying dependants are overseas, including instructions regarding immigration medical exam (IME) validity prior to finalization, while taking into consideration the travel restriction measures.
Updates have also been made to the instructions for approved permanent resident applicants with valid and expired Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) documents and permanent resident visas (PRVs).

They haven't been. The mega 27k draw was on Feb 13, add 3 months until every unused ITA expires and most applications are submitted, you get when it says around May 13 or later it means mega draw has been dealt with.
bulk of the AoRs for this draw should be at least around April/May since these ppl were never expecting an ITA (unlike many high CRS ppl). So they'd have to spend some time to gather the documents

This would be the case if IRCC was processing apps based on the timelines published on their website. They processed a lot of CEC applications submitted in 2021 so high chance most 27k apps were already issued COPRs before the timeline update.

If we see a FSW-O draw today, this will mean lots of hope for all outlanders.

However, the time I've been waiting since Nov 2019 (aor date) taught me to never trust IRCC, and never trust good news until it is proven.

I'm waiting for today's draw, fingers crossed.
