Those applications applied through RCIC consultants or immigration lawyers are dealt with differently than by the individual applicants? is there any difference?

No difference at all for the processing time.
They only help you to prepare and probably avoid certain mistakes on your app that could cause delays.

But the simple fact of applying using a lawyer/consultant won’t give you special treatment in the eyes of the IRCC

Obvious is it not? How can they give advantage to someone who went through a immi consultant? If its a lawyer then its not a normal application anyway; either a rejection or a complex app. In either of the cases they cant speed up since its coming from these guys. Its like jumping the queue.

I didn't say anywhere if the processing would be faster. Secondly, if the processing is even fast there is logical reasoning behind it, the application is organized and lawyers are accountable for the application. Do you know they have their own portal? so it's not the same anyway.

You did not say, but treat differently will be assumed it means that! But I get what you are saying. Processing faster because files are in order is subjective to the lawyer/consultant who is handling your file. He might make a mistake and create problems. But yes they prepare the file very well if you ask me. I have used one and he did a good job of prep. And yes I got to know yesterday that they have a separate login link But there will be no priority or preference what so ever as per IRCC on their website

They can also communicate with the authorized representative, unlike individual applicants. They say a lot of things and do something completely opposite, so I why I was asking if someone knows about the differences. Not here to defend lawyers or to jump the queue.

Agreed. I dont think they will treat it different. They cant communicate separately because that will be dangerous if someone gets hold of that information. Lawyers will be on it like vultures. So in short there will be no special treatment.
But others should let us know if they see something like this. But who will tell? Since that information is sensitive and might put the informer in danger. I dont think you will get a definitive answer on this...

Would probably best if you stated from the beginning that you are an immigration consultant so have a personal bias. In general a lawyer or a consultant is not needed to apply for most visas, permits and immigration programs. There are good lawyers and consultants and unfortunately many who have created more difficulties for the applicant from advising the wrong choice of program, making errors in the application and writing/giving feedback leading to some very bad SOP. Would suggest applying on your own. You can pay for a consultant or lawyer to look over your final application if you want. You should also review your application to look for any errors since you are the one who has the most at stake.
