Hello. I am planning to get my medical done upfront before applying for the visa. The doctor said they'll send the documents directly to the IRCC. What will I need to give to the Embassy as proof that my medical is done? How early should I get my medical before the visa application?

They will give you a paper which you will attach with your application as proof that you had your upfront medical exam. That paper has your information along with a UMI number, which will be used by IRCC to check your medical reports in the e-Medical system.

Your medical is valid for a year and should remain valid till you enter Canada, so you need to figure out when to get the medical done.
Thank you for the reply. I am planning to apply for the Visa in December 2021, as soon as I get my IELTS score. So mid-November should be good enough right (assuming i’ll get the medical results on time)

You don't need to worry about the results of medical since it is uploaded to the e-medical portal in a week's time, what you need to see is the appointment date for medical in your location.
