My partner (Indian citizen) has received a PPR but she lives in the US. She does not have a VFS Global location in the US and cannot travel to India or anywhere else (pandemic/H1B restrictions). Has anyone been in a similar situation? What have you done when a PPR came through and you were in the US? Does this qualify for an e-Landing? Or does this mean that the passport needs to be sent to a Canadian CIC office?

There are VFS Global locations in the United States. One in Los Angeles and one in New York. Both are offering "limited services."

Thanks k.h.p. For some reason, in the link that was shared with us, there was no VFS in the US. But this is very useful. Will contact them and see what to do to take this forward.

https://www.vfsglobal.ca/Canada/USA/

It's a bit weird in that this is the VFS site but I take it services in some parts of the Americas done through another company (as sub-contractor to VFS? No idea), TTServices.
Exactly. It's so weird that this URL - https://www.vfsglobal.ca/Canada/ (which is shared by the VO) does not let you get to this URL -
https://www.vfsglobal.ca/Canada/USA/ through any links on the site. But this is definitely what I'll have to do and you're absolutely right that TTServices is the company that handles the package transmission and passport services for VFS.

On that note, does anyone know if we can send the passport to any VFS location or does it have to be in the country where your VO is located? I know this might be a rare case, but any and all help is appreciated.

The PPR letter just says "to your nearest VFS location" but not sure if they assume we'd send it to one of the centers in the country.

It can be anywhere, but sometimes may be a bit difficult to work it out - patience.

It will be a lot easier if the country you're in is 'covered' by the visa office that processed your case.
