Sorry amigo, my partner does not have ecas because he was already PR before (I presume his account was closed). But the phone status is still the same - "we are doing your background checks". Fingers crossed for you!
I couldn’t use the phone status yesterday they said that call center works with immigrants from Afghanistan

We called in the morning and it worked. Perhaps if you call early morning it will work. Around 8:30

I have a 10 months infant here and 3 gals home 10yrs twins and 8yrs.
-That the kids I have back home are already integrated in their culture so should just take my baby she will come back when she wants fact that she’s a Canadian citzen.
-children back home don’t have any medical condition (mental) not in anyway disturbed so since I have shown I have been supporting them they are ok and they miss me.
Sorry to hear about your refusal. You need to prove to them that your kids back home , are better off with you than being back home. They should have more opportunities and better care , if they are here with you. Telling them that your kids have integrated with the culture back home is not in your best interest. The officer might say if your other kids can cope back home , your new born can also adapt to the culture back home.
The best interest of the child, has to do with what is best for your kids, trust me you kids are better off with you ,than with anybody else.

Waiting until they request it, is a personal choice. However, no harm done in submitting it before. Never heard of a case where the officer request a new one if the applicant didn't go back to that country. If a person isn't present in the country, how can they commit a crime after getting a police report. IRCC can be hard but not in this case.
I submitted one when I applied for H&C, it was requested again when I got AIP , for stage 2. It depends on the country, some have 3months or 6 months expiry dates. If you don't want to submit PCC in your initial application, just wait till you get to stage 2 to submit it.

Did it say still doing background checks?
Yes exactly same thing as before. I understand that it will stay like this until decision is made on the file, at which point we will no longer hear status and calls will be redirected to agent. This is how it was in his previous HC cases.

sorry about that. I almost feel my partner's previous two HC cases and your HC were refused by the same agent. He also has two teenaged children back home and one infant with me here in Canada. The officer wrote something similar to your refusal reasons - that he has to go back home to stay with his children and I can either raise our son here alone or follow him. We re-submitted HC with new evidence showing that he is our son's primary caregiver here, and also showing that if he returns home he can no longer support financially his other children (no jobs back home). It landed at a different officer's desk and we got AIP. You can keep fighting.

I don't understand what's up with some of these officers at IRCC, I don't think they understand the family unit, the officer wrote in my refusal notes that my teenage daughter is no longer dependent on us her parents????? What????

She wrote the same on my 6-month old son: that she sees no evidence that he needs his father in Canada (really?)
