Point taken. But I think it's just a case of some people being more proactive about their application process and others being less so. I eg am pre ITA but only been waiting for 2 months and here I am on this forum, the telegram group and fb groups to gather as much info as possible . I have watched multiple yt videos about how to fill out my app. Most of my friends are post aor and one of them is aor March 2020 hasn't been bothered to join any group and is happy to wait patiently also got an agent to fill out his app so didn't feel the need to research as much .When they get their pprs no one will ever get to know about it and that's probably true for a lot of cases. So my original point was that proceeding logically it's safe to assume that a lot more fsw pprs have been issued in the past few days than we know of and that's a good start. It also means they are perhaps working on the security of a lot many more to release in the upcoming days especially after 7th September. That is to say that work has started on fsw apps in earnest which in turn is probably good news for those of us waiting for an ita.
My sister's application was approved in September 2020, AOR was March 2020 and no update since then. She is not on any platforms and doesn't care at all when she will get PPR.

Guys,

just got an application update on my profile. Seems like they have extended my medical examination. In the application page it says "August 27,2021 you passed the medical exam"

My medicals were expired back in Feb 2021.
Is it a good sign?
Does someone know for how long it's usually extended ?

My application is Feb 2020 AOR FSW-O (non-US resident).

Medicals are usually extended for 6 to 12 months depending on reassessment criteria. It’s a good sign

Wish I had worked hard to become a refugee immigrant than to qualify for FSW. I would be a citizen by now (This comment isn't meant to be taken seriously)

Not surprised by JT's IRCC. He's politicizing everything. Good thing is he's likely to get only a minority again and things will be back to normal after the election.

Not sure why people are getting worked up by this news. Besides the fact that is a necessary development for obvious reasons, I am sure IRCC has specialised teams for these kinds of applications. I don’t see a scenario in which regular officers from say Accra or Warsaw visa office will be diverted towards processing Afghani cases.

Besides, these cases would probably focus on security clearances as opposed to eligibility, proof of funds and whatnots as it is done for Economic classes.

Agree - recently I also saw a post from Indian living in Toronto and he was crying that there are no jobs, wages are small, houses extremely expensive to buy etc. I am annoyed by these type of people. He was also commenting on "prioritization of Afghan applications etc." - people are just going crazy....
