Travel History request via Privacy Act

Hello,

I would like to apply for the Canadian citizenship and need to figure out the exact number of days I have been present both as a PR and Temporary Resident. To give more context, it's been over 2 years I have been PR, and prior to that, I have been visiting Canada from US (with car) often as a temporary resident (electronic visa only), approximately every other week. I would like to get my travel history so that I could correctly count the days I was coming in as a temporary resident (I'm aware they are counted as half). In order to do so, would I need to make a request under the Privacy Act and select CBSA as institution?

Thanks,
A*

Right, but wouldn't it be the same to request it from the Canadian side via the Privacy Act? My only concern on getting it from the US side, is in case there is a discrepancy in the entries counted from the Canadian side (unlikely, but just to be sure).
There is Travel History Report tool which you can look at: https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/agency-agence/reports-rapports/pia-efvp/atip-aiprp/thr-rav-eng.html
But it highlights specifically the following:

When not to ask for a Travel History Report
When you request your Travel History Report directly from the CBSA it can take up to 30 days to complete. There are many reasons you may require your report, but sometimes requesting it directly is not the best option. When your travel history is needed as part of an application, such as the application for Canadian citizenship, check the form for the option to release your report. Using this option means that you will not have to request it yourself. When this option is available, requesting the report directly from the CBSA will cause a significant delay to your application process. Listed below are the three applications that do not require you to request your report directly from the CBSA.

- Applying for Canadian Citizenship: Adults
- Applying for Canadian Citizenship: Unaccompanied Minor
- Applying for a Permanent Resident card

Right, but I'm not yet applying for the Canadian Citizenship, I'm first trying to find out the correct number of days I have in Canada (I know it's going to be approximately in 6 months). Anyway, I went ahead and tried to request one under the Privacy Act.

I had missing entries in I-94 travel history obtained from CBP website and requested history from CBSA thinking that it might show the missing entries, but found that both histories are exactly same. i.e. missing entries are missed forever. My guess is that missing entries are because of CBSA failed to report all Entries to CBP. I hope CBSA have some internal database or other means to validate this missing entries when IRCC asks them.

Sorry, what I am trying to say is that in my experience both CBP and CBSA had same history.
