delay in work permit

hi all , I have applied for work permit from india in sep 2020 and on 25th jan 2021 I completed my biometric and it was updated in my file the very same day.
on 17th feb 2021 my application was updated that I have passed my medical exam.
Till then I have not received any update .Can anyone suggest the reason for delay.

No one can tell you the chances. Depends on many factors - LMIA, NOC, profile, province etc.

Actually I know people getting approval in less than 40 days during covid time.
They applied in March 2021 and got approval in April.
Can my employer do anything for me ?

Your employer can call the Employment Centre. They will have the number.

What do you mean by Employment Centre.
Can you help me if you know the process as my employer is willing to do anything if possible.

They should have the information or you can google "LMIA Employer Contact Centre". If you have an account, you can raise a webform if normal processing times have passed.

You have the LMIA so processing is up to and can be more than 22 weeks.

I have the LMIA and applied for work permit in Jan 2021 and no update since then.
