I totally understand you, and we share the same feelings. I am have been really stressed up with spikes of hope and hopelessness all the time. I have seen people been approved for a diploma in business after 12th in medical, people who finished their bachelors in late 20s getting approved. A lot of profiles have financial constraints getting approved while some with heavy financials getting rejected. My last application had documents adding up to 125 pages. I attached everything orderly for the ease of VO. So with very few documents getting approved even those who didn't add any bank statement or property documents. All of this makes no sense. Those getting approved who come asking what is PPR? and here we are who have become half consultant researching to crack this process. Not fair but we have to deal with it. My whole immediate family is in Canada so I can't think of any other country. Family needs me and I am stuck.
Family in Canada is what they have issues with. Sad. Dont give up, hope for the best.
I am going to BC while my family resides in AB. But they still have a problem with this. A distance of at least 1,000 kms.
People have been approved for second masters, PGD after masters, diploma after 12th etc.
I would have agreed if this was applied for everyone. A 35 year old having no funds of his own and showing money from parents account would be straight shown the door in majority of the Visa offices. But this is quite a common practice in countries like PH. I really think this whole subjectivity needs to be removed from the equation and SP be provided based on facts and not feelings.
They need to remove emotions from this process and start focusing on facts. I mean, a person living a comfortable life is not going to choose to end up on Canadian streets just because he wants to be in the country. No one is that desperate. People are going there to contribute and be a part of a global culture.
Unfortunately not everyone does end contributing to the Canadian economy and many are not coming with a lot of family savings in addition to their turition and living expenses. There is actually quite a problem with some international students ending up in the sex trade to make money especially while studying. Many who are not able to adjust to Canada but are under too much pressure to just return home, many who end up on academic suspension, etc. Some may have sold assets or taken a loan well in advance so it isn’t obvious in the application.
No funds and parents providing the majority of funds for the education is very different. There is no way remove some subjectivity because enrol,ent is not purely based on scores. A VO must determine whether thechoice of schooling makes sense based on work history and previous education.
hmm, I see. This is where they need to start eliminating candidates with weaker finances and/or with weaker career progression. Putting everyone in the same basket and rejecting them is not fair.
But shouldn't that be the responsibility of the college/UNI
If one has secured admission then it means that that candidate had the right credentials. I desperately want to change my career but I cant take any other course because VO would reject stating irrelevance. So my plan is that I would change my course once I get my SP, although I will loose money I would at least do something that I want and not just for the sake of getting a degree.Actually colleges are making money out of us. I feel that way, not all but I feel most do that.But shouldn't that be the responsibility of the college/UNI
