That's great, thanks.Hi guys
have some good news for you and sorry for being late to post it.
So finally I am a Canadian citizen and received my certificate yesterday. Now next step applying for my passport . Wish you all the best and very soon will all enjoy our Canadian citizenship.
The oath invitation email sent on July 17th and the ceremony was on July 27th. My tracker was updated to ceremony scheduled on July 12th.That's great, thanks.
Could you please tell me when you got your oath invite email and when your oath ceremony was so that I can update the spreadsheet?
Thanks. I've updated the spreadsheet. The oath invitation email sent on July 17th and the ceremony was on July 27th. My tracker was updated to ceremony scheduled on July 12th.
Correction. You posted June 28 for physical and prohibition but they were completed June 25. Also I was away so I don’t know exactly when they sent the certificate but I came last night and found it in the mail. My friend who had same processing office said she received it a week after oath ceremony.Thanks. I've updated the spreadsheet.
In Scarborough office.Amazing news! Congratulations!

Thank you.Congrats! this is great news!
Can you please provide info around the Oath ceremony i.e how long it was from start to finish and what are the different parts of the ceremony i.e initial registration in private, Oath in public and then PR card cutting in private?
Thank you and all the best!
I'm confused a little about "Family member can join the public part of the ceremony through the same link". Does this mean that this link to the public ceremony is accessible outside Canada? Will family members outside Canada be able to use this link to watch the public part of the ceremony?Thank you.
It took around an hour and a half, we were 20 people in the ceremony . It starts with around 6 people with you to hear some instructions then they put you in a waiting room . When it’s your time you go to private room with officer to double check your address and PR and driving license. Then send you back to common room till every one is ready. Judge will welcome you and then do the oath and sing the anthem. Then you can ask any questions if you have and you can leave. The link to the ceremony doesn’t work from out side canada . Family member can join the public part of the ceremony through the same link. They ask you to sign the oath certificate and cut your PR and send a picture and a PDF to the email they sent the invitation from.
Hope that was useful.
Good luck.
No only in Canada. I just meant that different family members from across Canada can each the ceremony from there home. My dad tried the link from out side and it didn’t work for him.I'm confused a little about "Family member can join the public part of the ceremony through the same link".
