Hi everyone
I have a situation that my academic documents are having my surname as initial ( Sunil B) but my passport is having expanded form Sunil Bxxxxxxx.
Now the question is whether to answer "Yes" or "No" for the Q2 of the Personal Information in the study permit application.

Personal details, I have given
Q1 Family name (as shown in the passport or travel document): Bxxxxxx and Given name(s) (as shown in the passport or travel document) : Sunil

In Q2 of Personal details
Q2. Have you ever used any other name (e.g. Nickname, maiden name, alias, etc.) ?
Is it ok to answer Yes and enter
Family name: B and Given name: Sunil

Please advice

In my case the transcripts showed a different spelling of my first name so I was advised to give a notarized affidavit explaining that both names refer to the same person. But I don’t know if that applies to having a surname show up as an initial
