When you say "You can though file a SOWP along with your own WP extension" - does this mean I can add my spouse as a dependent on my new work permit application (on the basis on ongoing PR application). Sorry, I am little confused with your statement "You cannot add your spouse to a work permit extension as that is your application" - which contradicts the first statement?

The work permit application is YOUR application. You cannot add anyone to it. However, given the fact that you have a WP and a worker status in Canada, your spouse is eligible to apply for a SOWP. You can file a SOWP along with your own WP extension application.

I got PPR for my outland dependent, and his passport got stick, he got COPR. and then file got approved, but I (principle applicant) got nothing. In his PPR, it was written that I will contacted by the local office. When I called and agent told me they will contact. But nobody ....but nothing....My husband is coming. Plz help me I am too worried, how can I get my COPR? Is it normal that I haven't received COPR?

@legalfalcon : please help . Iam in Canada and my current work permit expires on 1st Dec 2021 . I plan to apply for extension and while extension is in progress I need to travel to India from Nov 1-25 2021.
as my visa is valid until Dec 1 2021, can I come back based on my existing perming or would I not be allowed in .If I am stuck in India would my work permit extension continue to process and can I get visa stamping in india

Cec-PNP
PA inland
Everything passed
If I remove my spouse from my file is it possible that I can get the PR ?
Or it can effect my file.
I am really stressed from this never ending wait. We (me and my spouse) are thinking to make her non accompanying if PA can get the PR. So that, at least PA can go back home and spend time with spouse without thinking about this pr process.
Please give your suggestions.
If someone did that before please help me.

How long it's been that your husband has got Copr? Coz sometime they send you copr after 3 to 5 days once you will get approval in online cic portal. So if today you got approval in online portal then it will take couple of days for them to send you email. Where is your outland dependent?

Yes it is normal. Your husband cannot travel until you receive your CoPR. You will have to wait for the portal email. My husband received his visa and COPR in June as well and I received my portal email on 26th July. Waiting for the COPR now. You should receive an email soon.

My Outland spouse got visa and copr on dec 2020. But i have not received anything till today and i was asked to keep waiting. I am april 2019 aor cec.

Yes it is normal. Your husband cannot travel until you receive your CoPR. You will have to wait for the portal email. My husband received his visa and COPR in June as well and I received my portal email on 26th July. Waiting for the COPR now. You should receive an email soon.

Oh my God, this is unbelievable. April 2019? You should sue the IRCC for their incompetency. This is mental torture.

To return to Canada, you need a valid visa. As long as you have a valid visa, work permit, and job offer you can enter. If your visa expires, you will have to get a new one from the country you are in.
