Almost similar timelines brother , I did upfront medical which was updated on 27th June and eligibility review also started on the same day.
It’s been 7 weeks so think would give it another week before I send a webform.
I managed to call IRCC through TalkU today but they don’t have access to information for files at Abu Dhabi office.
Hope this wait is over soon !

Hi all,
I have applied for SP on June 10. I am employed in Qatar govt since Dec 2015 till date. In PH way. I recently travelled to India did my medicals there on 27 May. I have already visited Canada in 2019 for a week so I have BVL. (I got visit visa from Abu Dhabi as it was a bussnies trip just for a year usually they give the duration till the passport expires!) One of my friend(working in Qatar since 9+ years) also did the "PH way" but still his application got assessed in Abu Dhabi and his got his first refusal (I think he submitted it in March 14 2021and he got refusal on May last week 2021. We both are mature students I have 12 years IT experience with BE in electronics communication and applied under Masters of Engineering in Internetworking in Dal Housie University for fall 2021. I feel the overall components of the applications decide where your file goes. Both of us have earnings from middle east as salaries and both of have shown properties in our name in India. So the active banking history, and current source of income takes the precedence. So if we keep applying one day the application may land in India or Ottawa or other candain embassies and your application will be ready properly and you may get visa. Else the best option is to move completly to your hoem country and apply under SDS.

Did you mention your current address as India or Qatar in the forms ?

Random thought .. People who have received approval / Rejection from Abu Dhabi .. Based on trend and what I have read / observed on this forum is that rejections after passing medical are quicker compared to approvals .. Does anyone else has similar experience ? Just trying to keep my mind from anxiety ..

Good analysis, I'm also curious to know this. Is it true that rejections are out quicker once you receive the BVL? My medical and biometric uploaded by 17th May and I received my BVL on 10th June and still waiting further updates. Does this mean higher chances or Visa approval? Or it doesn't matter? I'm also anxious.

well from what it looks like.. i think u r likely to get it tis time.. becoz if it had to be rejection u get the bvl & rejection together without much time delay.
its only smthn what i saw from the rest of the msgs... fingers crossed. let it work for u

My refusal was as follows:
SDS
30 April submitted
04 May Biometric submitted and updated
20 May medical passed and backgroud check complete
24 May BVL and Refusal

mentioned applying from India but unfortunately I mentioned current country of residence as Qatar. I did my medicals from India on may 27 2021.
