COPR and coronavirus

I believe that this strongly depends on your visa office and its capacity to process renewals. Central intake issues a request for renewal (after re-examining your case, expired meds, pcc...) and dispatches the request to the relevant visa office which sends out your ppr down the line knowing that the office has capacity to issue you a new counterfoil and COPR doc. Eitherway, they mentioned that they are almost done with pre Mar 18 COPRs and there are 23,000 post Mar 18 COPR with expired, expiring or valid dates. I also hope that the wait is not too much.

The medicals are shown as passed on the application but there has been dead silence from IRCC since. I have lost the number of times I have asked them for help but no one bats an eye at their offices. It's been 15 months of agonizing mental torture and I can't be the only one in this pickle. Living a life in limbo. Hope they wake up from their sleep and start doing some work actually. I feels as if it's a punishment that my COPR was approved before March 18 so will have to wait more and more and more.

Wts your visa office? You need to look into that prior to blaming IRCC.

Pre-March 2020, COPR expired last July, received the "Still interested in immigrating" email on Apr 19, replied immediately, heard nothing back since then.

Now I'm thinking of doing upfront medical after checking the posts in this thread, earlier I called the panel physician, he said the exam results will be only valid for 1 month, which means it is likely I will be asked to do it again.... that was what he said. Is this one month thing a new rule or I missed something? Has anybody heard or experienced the same recently?
Btw, VO Ottawa. Trying the best to wait patiently but also want to do whatever I can at this point. Appreciate it very much for your help.

Hi, I am not sure if this is with only me or not but I have been asked to redo the Medicals. within a span of 1 month.

My COPR expired in Dec 2020 and in April'21 I received an email to confirm if I am still interested in moving to canda to which I replied. In May I received request to do the Medicals and I did that in end of May but in June again I have been asked to do the Medicals.

PLEASE HELP/GUIDE

Prateek, my COPR also expired in Dec 2020 but I haven't heard anything from them and all my web inquiries were ineffective. Do you know if your contact date was early or late compared with others? Thanks.

I am in the same boat. COPR expired in November 2020. Haven't heard a peep yet from CIC. They just sent some generic emails for the web form requests I raised.

I am pre march. And started my application from UAE. Now I am in Pakistan for past 2 months and did my remeds here as well. Now I got request to submit my Passport.
The problem is flights from PAK to UAE are still suspended and I only have 30 days to submit these things. Can I submit my passport here in PAK or it should only be in UAE.

I have a valid immigrant visa and CoPR, but I need to renew my passport. Can I travel with both passports (old/canceled passport with valid visa affixed to it accompanied by the new passport) or should I get a new Visa and CoPR?
Please note that at the time of my travel, the current visa will still be valid.

Hi I can’t specially say about Canada and copr. In general after passport cancellation any valid visa remains valid until the date marked in visa . Person needs to carry both the passport cancelled one with valid visa and new one. I personally I have travelled .
For Canada and copr - just wait for experts to reply

With valid PPR you can submit in any local vac. Better send email to local vac and check

You can submit your passport at any Canada VAC in Pakistan.don’t worry.
Submit your passport ,get stamped and fly to Canada.Good luck.

Hi,
For those who have already received the re-medical request, can I ask what exactly does the message from IRCC contain? Does IRCC send a IMM 1017E form, or does the message/email simply say “please provide us with an updated medical exam”, or does only the status change in the profile from “You do not need a medical exam” to “Please provide us with a new medical exam”?
In my communication with IRCC, I think I am not being accurate enough as to what I need from them to initiate my re-medical.
