Got an email from IRCC to follow progress on new tracker!! There is no update though right now.

is it a good news- I can expect in near future!!!
I have read before few got such emails .
No, sorry to burst your bubble, but it is sent to everyone who has an active citizenship application regardless of where they are in the process. They probably send this email in batches.

The tool has been around for the public since early May. As long as you got AOR, you could have checked it back then.

Many people got these emails and I don't think nor have I seen any reports of this bringing any progress to the application. I wish the the rumor were true though, because I got that email as well.

Just FYI - in the new citizenship tracker there is no longer a "Decision Made" status, unlike the old eCAS system. It will stay as "in progress" until the day after you finish the oath which will say "closed". Just a new way they are handling things, if you don't see DM in the new system, check on the old system, you should be able to find it if everything on the new tracker is "completed" :D
Just like how you mentioned , all the sections in new tracker is Completed with the exception of Ceremony which states " Not Started". ECAS states Decision Made.
So ,"Decision made" , does this mean that i have been approved or not ? How to find out? Little nervous! Hope you could help!

Yes, your application is approved. All you have to do now is wait for your oath invitation :)

Congratulations!

Oh.. Thank You very much ! :) still unbelievable. Exactly on this day 2 years back , IRCC received my application and DM is also on the same day after 2 years.!

Any idea after DM , how many days or weeks for tracker to show up in the ceremony section for a date ?

No one knows. Could be a couple of months until you receive an invite.

Is it true you have to have a printer at home during the online Oath?

Huh? What for? I have not seen anyone who attend oath report this here. I am almost 100% certain that having a printer at home isn't one of the prerequisites for participating in the online oath ceremony.

Do they ask you in what city you are in??

This I'm not sure about. Someone who attended the oath should be able to answer.

The printer for Oath apparently has to do with signing the Oath and scanning it back on the spot. I read about it recently on the facebook group.

You can print the oath form in advance elsewhere, what matters is you have a blank oath form on the day of.

But they will ask for the signed oath form back over email within 2 days—if you don’t have a scanner at home on the day of the oath, a phone scanner app will do (iPhones have this feature built in, not sure about Android, but I wouldn’t be surprised), and if you don’t own a smartphone for whatever reason, they also accept an electronically signed form (instructions will be in the oath invite).

So this can be all done without a printer/scanner at home, that’s why it is NOT a stated requirement.

They do ask for the address on the day of the oath.

Some Android phones have this feature built-in (Samsung Galaxy S21+ has this feature). On other phones, you can certainly use some apps to get this done.

But I have to ask - Isn't there an option to sign the oath form electronically? You could simply download the form, open it on Adobe Acrobat Reader and place your signature on the form. Before that, you might have to sign on a piece of paper, take a picture, send it to your computer/laptop and add that as a signature on the Adobe Acrobat reader. You can then simply select and place this signature in the signature fields. Can't this be done?

There are separate instructions from IRCC for the electronic signature option.

The officer still has to witness you sign the printed oath form after you take the oath in front of the judge.

If you go for e-signature, you will e-sign a blank form from scratch, bypassing scanning/taking a phone scan all together.

In my case, a week before my oath, the officer asked me (over email) if I will send a scanned or e-sign form after the oath. It’s possible other officers ask this in the phone invite or on the day of the oath, during the briefing.

This was the procedure explained for me, not sure if they may update it in the future

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I did the virtual signature option and they even attach a word doc on how to do it ! It’s super easy. You basically type your name on the PDF and send it off after the ceremony. Don’t need any fancy device just do it on your computer. Already got my certificate no issues. Don’t stress about it. Printing and scanning seems a hassle plus not very environmental friendly
