Exemption Authorization Letter.

Hey.. I did enquire bout it and the consultancy guy told me that the letter will be drafted by them and that paper has to be shown to the immigration officer .
What? You apply for an exemption through web form. The links are on the website when applying for a visitor visa.
I enquired from an immigration consultancy and they told me that letter will be drafted by them. So total procedure of applying will cost 20k . Though I postponed it as flights too are suspended till June 21
And one more thing to add on here, I already have my TRV, but this pandemic has messed up everything.
So do you have family in Canada to apply for authorization to travel? That is the only reason you can travel even if flights are suspended. And what letter would they draft if you aleady have a visitor visa? What costs $20k
Yes, my parents are citizens there. 20k they will be charging as their fees. But now as I can see it's all available on websites so there is no need for these so called agents.

If you have the TRV or ETA, you can travel already - you will need to document (prove) that your parents are your parents (birth certificate) and that they (or one of them anyway) is citizen resident in Canada. Check with airline.

You are reading it incorrectly as she isn’t the citizen her parents are. I assume the person posting is over 22 so she is an extended family member.
Extended Family Member - If your relationship is with a Canadian citizen, person registered under Canada’s Indian Act or permanent resident
You must be
- in an exclusive dating relationship, have been in the relationship for at least 1 year and have spent time in the physical presence of that person at some point during the relationship
- You and the person you’re in the relationship with must both be 18 years of age or older.
- a non-dependent child (adult child)
- a grandchild (dependent child of a non-dependent adult child)
- a sibling, half-sibling or step-sibling
- a grandparent

I will repeat what I said above: this law firm sounds extremely dodgy. There is no way that assistance in just applying for this letter should cost $20k.

$20k for applying for travel authorization, which anyone can do since it is a webform is insane. Takes 10 minutes. Also the person has the visitor visa. Would love the name of the firm and if they are licensed immigration consultants because if so, they should be reported.
Yes. Outrageous. They can probably justify it but I'd still report to the Law Society and Better Business Bureau, I bet this law firm has other complaints.
Age is 40 . The firm holds a name here in India and I know 20k is pretty much amount for the file work, that's y I dropped idea of applying thru them.
Secondly, wen I asked my travel agent, he too told me that my parents have to send a letter to me. Don't know which letter now.
It's too confusing coz no one exactly knows wat is required and wat is not. Wen I call airlines, they do not answer the call at all. It's so frustrating

You can apply for it yourself. That's what is needed, the authorization letter from IRCC. This is a fact.
