AOR November 14, 2020
CEC Inland with 3 dependents
Last call - May 18 and Security was not started yet, or started but not updated (as per Agent). So almost promised 6 months..
Cool, Thanks. My eligibility passed on 11th May and when I called IRCC last week (18th May), agent told me Security is not started yet. Hopefully I will get an update next week. Actually I noticed application updated just after the call. @legalfalcon will it be security starting? My BGC is still we are processing

It is difficult to predict what a ghost update it for. But if security is the only stage left, then most likely it would have been initiated.

However, the only way to confirm is by calling IRCC, webform or relying on your GCMS notes.

Usually security screening takes 110 days. To read more on SS and how it is done, see https://bit.ly/3apWglN

Hi @legalfalcon ,

I applied under FSW-Inland last Nov and I working full time in Canada (but not claiming points for it). Now I am working with a different company in Canada as well. Do I need to inform them about my job change? I am not claiming points for my experience in Canada. Thank you

If you did not claim points for the job you left, there is no need to inform IRCC as your Canadian work experience does not matter.

I have already applied under FSW In-Land in Nov 2020,
I am now eligible for the CEC category is it a better idea to re-apply?

Yes, fsw won’t be processed for a long time, cec inland is just 6 months and you are done
