Hello everyone,

I ordered my GCMS notes in November and finally got it now after 120 days. I had made a few calls to IRCC during the time I was waiting for my GCMS notes and in the final call, I was told by the agent that my case has a review required for eligibility. It was my hope that the GCMS notes would clarify the reason so that I could send in the documents proactively through a CSE Webform but after getting the notes, I am even more confused because I just can't find anything that has been marked adversely in there. I am pasting some of the relevant notes here. Can someone please help me understand what could possibly be holding up my case. I am just a few days away from my 6 month date and am getting really worried that this is going to get delayed by a lot or even get rejected.

What did you provide for proof of funds? It seems that is where the RR is coming from, but the notes for funds don't show what their issue is. It seems you have provided significantly higher funds than required. Do they have any reason the believe the funds are not yours or you have other debts?

Thanks for the quick response. I just got the latest bank account summary letter from my US account and showed that as the proof of fund. Since the checking amount was in USD, I added an LOE showing the conversion rate in CAD which is the amount that is showing up in the GCMS note. Proof of funds was the one area I thought would have no issues at all since I have no outstanding debts and I basically just got the official letter from my Bank on their letterhead and since the account is in my name, I thought this would be enough. I am an OINP nominated applicant and this letter was accepted without any issues in that process. Do you think I need to send them a CSE and clarify that I have no debts?

I'm not sure why the analyst put review required on your file. It seems like he was able to verify all the details and even the re-calculated CRS score is same as at the time of application. I don't see any issues with POF as well. He clearly states your POF is greater than amount needed. I don't see any need of clarifying anything further.

Thanks for your response. I have really been confused about this too since I got the notes. Almost everything in the notes seems to indicate that all my details have been verified but somehow, I am still stuck with a review required. I am hoping that with the 6 month processing date approaching, someone would just pick my case and move it ahead but I have also heard that review required cases just end up getting overlooked for a very long time and that has become a big cause of stress for me now.

maybe just concerned about the large amount and officer may want to see the transactions leading to it.
I did provide 10 months bank statements leading to the AOR date and both a 6 month bank letter and a 1 year bank letter showing the details. Do you think I should put in a CSE and upload earlier bank statements as well?

Wow that's a lot of statements. Anyways it's under officer review so you can't do anything till he/she picks up your file. No point uploading older statements.

Hello everyone,

Just an update. I got the PPR on 12/03/2020 and did not need to provide any additional documents to get it. So, it seems the review required ended up not causing me any problems at all. Thank you to all who responded to me.

Hi, how long was you file in review for? I am a SINP candidate and mine has been in RR for nearly two months now. My air is Sept 29th 2020. My POF is also a lot higher than what is required. I am waiting for my notes to arrive. I can’t figure out what e reason could be. It’s driving me crazy!!

How long was you in review required? Mine is coming up to six months of being in review and 8 months from aor and my file hasn’t been touched.
