I can just imagine an immigration officer stamping applications it will go something like this:

no, no, no, yes, no no no no yes yes no no no no yes no no yes yes yes no no no.....
until 90k reached

Those needing additional sheet: it seems it has to be a new sheet of the document, not a blank page:

If you need more space for any section, print out an additional page containing the appropriate section, complete it and submit it along with your application.

There is a scene from a Mel Brooks film that comes to mind.

To apply through this stream, you must have graduated with one of the following:

  • a degree (Associate, Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate) with a program length of at least 8 months
  • a degree, diploma, certificate or attestation leading to a job from the list of eligible trade occupations
  • one or more diplomas, certificates or attestations, where
    • each was at least 8 months in duration
    • the combined duration was at least 16 months
    • one or more diplomas of vocational studies (DVS) or attestations of vocational specialization (AVS), where
      • each was at least 900 hours in duration
      • the combined duration was at least 1,800 hours
        • When combining 1 AVS with 1 DVS, the length of the AVS may be less than 900 hours if the combined length is at least 1,800 hours.
I have graduated with one certificate which was at least of 8 months, why are you saying I am not eligible?

Did you get a degree? If not, then both of this has to be fulfilled:

  • each was at least 8 months in duration
  • the combined duration was at least 16 months
(and everything that goes beyond that)

Your studies need to be at least 16 months - it could include two separate ones of at least 8 month in duration though. But you have to study 16 months minimum. The ONLY exception is if you were granted a degree.

Guys, a couple of questions:

1. IMM0008 - Consent to release information to intended province/territory
I can't type in my name because the form doesn't allow me to. Do I just leave this section blank?

Im talking about this part:

"I (first name, last name) _________ on behalf of myself and ... "

2. IMM0130 - TR to PR pathway
If I am applying through the International grad stream, do i need to fill out Section 5 (Past Canadian Work Experience)? Or do I leave it blank?

3. Have they provided the link for the application portal tomorrow? Any idea on where this info will be posted?

Thank you!
Ok, according to chatty lawyer he says to check 'No' for the box because that line is there for us to print and sign phsycially. So checking 'No' will not require your signature.

I hope they don't mean my wife's mother, who lives in Europe and is not counted as a dependant? Or yes?

do we have to combine all documents? like if we need to submit transcript and letter from the institution then have to combine them?

I'm a little confused on filling out the IMM5562 form, I have not traveled back to my origin country since coming to Canada

My travel history is as follows:

2015 Sept moved from UAE to Canada for College

Since then I've gone back twice, for a short period of time to visit family, this I know how to include.

Now my confusion arises when entering in the initial trip to Canada, I came here in 2015, and have been a resident in Canada since then, came here as a student and currently on my PGWP.

If I do need to include the initial trip to Canada from UAE, what would my dates be?

Read through the above again. You don't meet these requirements.

- You don't meet the first bullet because your program did not lead to a degree.
- You don't meet the second bullet since your certificate does not lead to a job that is a trade.
- This means you need to meet the requirements in the third bullet. To meet these requirements, you need to have completed one program that is at least 16 months in length or two programs that are at least 8 months each. You only completed one program. So you don't meet the requirements.

Likely yes. We need to see the portal, but there will likely be only one box to upload everything related to your studies. Then another one for the job, etc. But don't take my word on it; it might not happen like this.
