Hi everyone. I have 2 applications in process (EE and paper based). I am going on mat leave in 2 weeks. Do I need to inform IRCC I am on mat leave or they will only need to know when I give birth to a child, that's it? Please share your experience. Thanks!

The eligibility and background check sections in your profile would remain static until you get a decision. You can get updates by calling IRCC, raising a webform or ordering your GCMS notes.
Okay.
As of today: Background changed to :
  • Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.

Hello everybody. When we apply for PR, do we need to send them Police certificates by post???

When did you submit your application? It seems like processing going really fast... It would be great if other friends share their updates. I got the invitation in the same draw but didn't submit my application yet, still gathering documents to submit.... So I don't have any updates....

Medical passed on March 31

Background check status showing we are processing the background check. We will send you a message for more info.

Does it make any difference b/w progress and processing?

Its still show in progress, we will send you message when we start your backg check today
It's a real confusing status. On reading other threads it makes to worry, whether the status that shows "in progress" will get stuck in BG check not getting started, since this status is mostly seen for outland applicants. :(

This status used to be the IP1 status, no clue at all, maybe call IRCC

Quoting legalfalcon’s comment on the whole ip1-2 etc.

“There has been a growing trend of speculation where change of status on MyCIC has been attributed to eligibility being passed, etc. The whole NA, IP IP2 is speculation and has no bearing on determining which stage your application is at. While any change of status is a good sign, but merely relying on NA and IP is not the correct way.

Most applicants will find it irrelevant, as their applications will be processed and approved within the first 3-4 months. It is those who wait for more than 4 months, where things go crazy as they keep relying on NA, IP etc, and see no movement or progress. Many other are stuck on so called IP2, and the PPR never seems to come.

So put these speculative theories to rest. As per the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, regulations and the ministeral instructions every application goes through the following stages:

R10 (Completeness check)
Medicals
Criminality
A11.2 Eligibility (The most important stage)
Security”

you can find this at the start of EVERY AOR thread. https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/march-2021-aor-join-here.723800/

to be honest, I agree with him. The BG processing remained static for me and didn’t help me gauge where my application is at AT ALL. I got real updates from the webform and GCMS notes.

Hello Everyone,
I had applied for my PCC from India on 15th March via a walk in application, but have no idea what is going on.
Status on the tracking remained unchanged for over a month and today it has changed to "PCC application is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate".
I have tried calling up 3 police stations in India which fall under that jurisdiction, but 2 have said that they don't have the file. 1 refuses to answer, says you have to be here in person or check online. BLS is useless, says check with the Indian High Commission in Ottawa, have sent them an email and waiting for a response.
But with the current situation in India, it seems like this will be delayed and now I am running out of time to submit my application. Can I submit it without the PCC for now and then later submit through webforms? I have all the proof of emails and the application submission invoice which I can attach in a LOE and submit.
Has anyone tried this earlier? Any other tips?

Thank you.
