Webform Impact after Visa Approval

Hello guys,


I had submitted a webform with the updated sop (LoE) on 16th april 2021.

However, before any reply could come, i got my PPR on 23rd april 2021.

Now, today on 27th april 2021, i have got the following reply from ircc against my webform:-

We are pleased to confirm the reception of the following document:

• Updated_letter_of_explanation(client information).pdf

We have forwarded it and the information you provided to the responsible office for their consideration.

For further information regarding your enquiry, please consult the correspondence sent to you on April 23, 2021, via your online account.


The correspondence of april 23 that this message is talking about is nothing but my PPR.

Will they start my processing again, as they have received this doc?

or my decision is now final and I should not be worried. Please note that I had submitted this updated SOP(LoE) for correcting 3 spelling mistakes.

Please guide.

You should be fine. I had a similar scenario where I sent an updated LOE on 14th April about my PCC (which I submitted on 11th April but forgot to include the cover letter from the Criminal records center stating that the PCC was not yet registered on their system due to technical glitches which means that should IRCC query the system for my PCC, it would have not been found). On the same 14th April, I got my PPR. 3 days later I got the same acknowledgement as you, regarding my LOE, also telling me that I should refer to my GC key for correspondence sent on the 14th of April (my PPR).

Nothing more has come out of it. I have received my counterfoil and my POE letter already. My passport is also on my way back to me.

I don't think you should worry.

It will have no impact as your application is closed. However, only if the LoE mentioned about change of family composition, marriage, birth of a child etc. it may impact, otherwise not.

yes it was only about spelling mistakes and replacing bachelor of technology (erroneously mentioned) at 1 place in LoE with bachelor of engineering.

nothing wrt personal details was changed in LoE.
