What are the differences between
1. Offer of employment (is it LMIA and first job offer signed before accepting the job?)
2. Letter of employment ( working for same company)
3. Employment record ( working for same company for 3 years)

Question for NOC98

Thanks NOC98, really appreciate your posts. Learn a lot for the details of the processing. Now I have some questions and need your advice.

I have worked as NOC 2174 since my graduation before and after came to Canada. So I assume that my primary NOC is 2174. However, I got a LIMA close WP last year with a NOC 2147. Based on the description of NOC, I still think that NOC 2174 fits me.

In my EE profile and application,
I declare work experience from Dec., 2014 - April. 2019 Foreign experience as NOC 2174
Canada experience : April 2019- Jan 2020 NOC 2174
Jan 2020 - Feb 2021 NOC 2147 (ITA in Feb)
My question, 1) will NOC 2174 as primary NOC be a problem ? 2) For my current job duty, I think that it is NOC 2174, however, I am under NOC 2147 LIMA WP. Should I change my NOC from 2147 to 2174 ?

BTW, my application status : AOR : Mar 23rd ; MEP & BIL : Apr 15th; ADR on Apr 13th for IMM5406 ;

This is just me, for primary NOC, as long as it’s 1 year full time work experience, it’s fine to use. Most provinces use this NOC as basis for drawing candidates to send NOIs to.

if the duties of your Canadian work reference letter has the exact same duties as when your LMIA was granted, I’d say leave it as 2147.

you already have an AOR? So what’s there to change? Your profile is basically locked and can no longer be modified.

The work reference letter describes NOT match with NOC 2147 in my thought. NOC 2147 is more like hardware related, I am doing software.

If you changed roles then you should find the NOC that’s aligned to it, which you’re saying is now 2174.

so when you landed in Canada in 2019, you’re doing 2147 but in Jan 2020, you switched to 2174?

2: Before ITA, I had mentioned and was claiming my spouse ECA points, but as this particular CRS cut-off is 75, can I remove(without any harm to my application) the spouse ECA, as I don't need those points. If YES, what should I write in LOE?

1. Yes, I think that’s mentioned in the question mark icon under educational documents placeholder

2. you can remove. Write in LOE why you can’t provide the ECA (e.g., lost, wrong assessment, can’t provide diploma etc)

Responding based on my own experience:
- I attached my wp on the work reference letter
- I do have stamps from my old passport (in the past 10 years). I only uploaded my current passport plus the stamps in it. No old/expired passports uploaded.
