my friend left Nigeria yesterday without an authorization letter cos her child is Canadian, they stopped her in Amsterdam but once she cleared that she was with a minor who is Canadian, they allowed her..

hence why I chose to ask the question on here cos I know Americans are currently allowed to enter Canada

Your friend was allowed to travel because she was an immediate family member accompanying a Canadian. This rule does not apply to Americans. You need an authorization letter or you won't be allowed to board the plane.

I dont know the content of the authorization letter if it carries the location or not
