I start to think that test invite happen after 1 year from in-process date. Most of applications seems to get test invite after 12 months from in-process. So in my case we are 6 month away still and counting.
Stressful time, i have not seen my parents for over 7 years. with pandemics i dont know if we will ever see them before they die . No visitors visa, no citizenship, no passport, no travel.

Not necessarily, my in-process date was February 21, 2020 and I still haven't received a test invite. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the test invites, I've seen people who submitted in December 2020 getting test invites while we're still waiting.

I think my guess is right, single person applications are given priority over family applications, havent seen many family applications move according to the tracker

Just called CIC because last time it was a very short conversation and I realized later I called too early to confirm my results.

I took my test on March 18 and called on March 25 to confirm, she said I passed but this time the agent told me that for sure the results are official and everything looks good, I just have to wait for DM

I also asked which office is processing my application and he asked me a few times why I need this information

Isn't it a common question to ask? lol

But turns out it's Scarborough and I heard it's bad news for Toronto applicants? Because Mississauga and Hamilton office are much faster. Anyone knows anything about it?

So what was information you got from the second call?? When did they confirm you passed test?

Don't think so, 4 of my friends who applied as family around Jan 2020 and Feb 2020, got their test invite and decision made.
I applied as a single in Dec 2019 and it is still in process.

are you from Quebec ? I'm from Quebec and didn't find any movement for a long time where other provinces are movie fine.

i second that...Hamilton office is super fast. my application is at Hamilton office. DM-> Mar 11 ; Oath -> Apr 13.
