The status is same. My application is NOT yet reached local police station. And the status is same in passportindia.gov.in portal - "Police Verification has been initiated and a request has been sent to Indian Embassy/Consulate. PCC needs to be collected from the Indian Embassy/Consulate where the applicant applied after a 'Clear' Police Verification Report is received at the Indian Embassy/Consulate."
My verification was done but the status is still the same.

Did any one submitted his application with out PCC and LOE explaining reason of delay. Did IRCC accepted this? Please advise if some one did this recently for Express entry and IRCC response on this...

I see this status at Passport seva website " PCC application has been granted on 07/08/2020. PCC will be dispatched to the current address of the applicant. The applicant would receive an sms once the PCC is ready for dispatch."... what does this means?
At BLS site status is still showing "Processing at Consulate General ".

Does this means that PCC is with BLS and I can collect my PCC in person from BLS office?
Hi, I am in similar situation, but here my WorkPermit is ending on April 25th and India pcc is still in processing even though verification is done at India week before. I still have time before ITA expires until 15th May. Please suggest if anyone has any update on above messages or mine.
Or if anyone has any time line for their pcc. So I can get help with the idea of how long I should be waiting to apply my pr and work permit.
Thanks in advance

I've had the initiation email since Thursday the 25th (March 2021), It mentions "This is to inform you that Police Verification Request has been sent to the Police department (refer the following table for details) for your PCC Application submitted with File Number CATXXXX". It also mentions "You are requested to get in touch with the respective Police Office if verification is not done in three weeks.", which just makes it sound like the police office is incompetent and needs to be reminded to do their job.
Is this normal? Should I ask my parents back in India to contact them to try to expedite the process? Advice would be appreciated!
Yes sure that's the best option, I did same

If your police verification is already done, it should have been notified to the embassy already. Not sure why it's stuck. Most likely your clearance report has not reached the Embassy yet.

Thanks for reply :) and I am hoping to see some changes by end of this week atleast, because this will be week 3 since my application started at bls.

Hello Friends,

I would like to share my timelines. My PCC verification was done in Patiala, Punjab.

Feb 22 to March 12th - Processing at BLS and CGI

March 13 - Received the initiation email from CGI.

March 17 - Verification was completed.

My Father visited SP office in Patiala and the person at the SP office said they send my application to Chandigarh embassy for further processing on March 24th... (Please provide them your ARN or file number they will tell you where you application stands or if they have done their part). From Chandigarh embassy it went to Delhi.

March 17th to April 5th - Long wait for processing. I called BLS yesterday and the lady on the phone said that processing time after police verification is 3-4 weeks nowadays because of the number of PCC applications the embassy/consulate has received in recent times. Quick tip to reach BLS call Winnipeg number +1-204 285 3985.

April 6th - PCC has been printed.

I hope/pray that everyone receive their PCC on time.
Hi, and today when I called BLS in morning the guy said 8 weeks to get pcc. I am so confused with their service. Guy was just saying me same things that we can also see on website then what's the use of calling them even when we can't get in touch most of the time.

Here are my timelines so far:

Purolator courier pickup: Feb23
Courier reached Brampton BLS: Feb24
Tracking started on BLS site: March 3rd
Received e-mail reg 'initiation of police verification': March 13th
Police visited: March 21st

No status update from March 21st till date.. the status still says 'Police verification initiated....'. It means the police report is probably still in the SP office & has not reached the passport office yet. Looks like, it will probably take at least another 10 days to receive the PCC.

Anyone has faster timelines than above....
Final timelines from me:
Purolator courier pickup: Feb23
Courier reached Brampton BLS: Feb24
Tracking started on BLS site: March 3rd
Received e-mail reg 'initiation of police verification': March 13th
Police visited: March 21st
Status changed to 'PCC has been printed' on passport portal: April 2nd
Status changed to 'In transit from Consulate...' on BLS portal: April 5th
Status changed to 'Delivery via courier' & displayed Purolator tracking number: April 6th
Received PCC: April 7th

I don't think there is any standard timeline. It has been 2 weeks, 4 days since my police verification and no update. There have been people here who posted that their PCC was printed teh very next day after police verification.

The consulate and BLS are both like black holes, where no laws apply!
