No emails or COPR letter yet. Looks like AUG profiles are getting approvals in full swing. Hope everyone gets theirs' soon _/\_!!

I received an email today from CIC that progress bar has been removed from my application. Is there anyone who received same email. My AOR is 28th august, everything is in progress status except biometrics and medical exam.

I have a question regarding sin numbers. Do I need to apply for a new sin number before I receive my PR card or can I wait till I get that to go do it? Currently have work permits and sin numbers till 03/2022

You have to change it once you get COPR. Why would you want to wait?

Just want to add to my previous response. Your current SIN is associated with your work permit, which automatically expires once you get COPR. Meaning SIN will also be no longer valid after that.

You can get your SIN online! Seems like a simple procedure, but then you have to wait 2-3 weeks for it to come in the mail.

Walking in to near by Service Canada was much quicker! I got my SIN with in few mins.
