LMIA+ Visitor + flagpole [after March 31st]

Assuming no Covid, can a person with LMIA and an implied status (waiting for visitor extension) do flagpoling to get the closed work permit?

( Usually, visitors with job offers need to apply from outside Canada. They made an exception until March 31st to apply from inside).

I am wondering if flagpole can be done because my LMIA won't be ready till May maybe. Thanks !

Flagpoling is currently not possible. Impossible to know whether it will be possible in May but chances aren't great.

Thank you. It seems visitors can still apply for work permit from inside Canada. They were supposed to stop this temporary policy in March 31st. In this link, they just say: 'Yes, Due to covid etc"... Please correct me if I misunderstood.

You can apply online but you can't flagpole

I got my approval for the public policy for visitors to work permit. Arrived in Canada last February 2020 then got stuck with covid. Applied for employer specific WP on March 19, received an approval on March 25

Technically flagpoling still isn't allowed right now. You can try and it might work out. However it's also possible this might go the wrong way for you.
