Just wanted to know a friend of mine is gathering the documents and wandering if showing 2 apartments that belong to his mother with notaries approved.
The length of studies 4.5 months full time designated DLI and it is mentioned in the cover letter that he will take a vacation that piled up over 2.5 months(from last year) vacation time and the rest time he will take time off from his work for self-development
Any suggestions?.

his mother owns apartments and she did notar statement that I take responsibility apart from having 30K in the account.
But how do apartments help a study permit? They aren’t liquid unless she is selling them. What do you mean you are taking responsibility.

how it will help - it will show to the officer that he got assets in his home country..
people put cars, homes etc..
The problem was it is not hers but belongs to his mother

I know showing assets is not a requirement but most people submit it just to show that they have some assets

Ok but they are not his assets unless he is under 22. If older, you want to show your own funds. This is always better. The course is only 4 months so your friend should be able to show the funds on his own.

do you think there is no need to show the assets? I told him to transfer to his own name tempararily but he said it is not easy to do

did anyone show assets?
as others have said, why do you think showing someone else's assets will help his application? he's already 25, so he's considered an adult and should therefore show his own funds, assets, properties that are in his name only. and you also shouldn't try and game the system by 'temporarily' transferring the asset to be under his name.

i submitted documents showing that i have downpayed for an apartment in my own country. but it doesnt make sense to show the title deed to my parents' apartment in my application too.

It is a 4 month course. Why does he need to show these apartments as assets? They aren’t his and show no ties to his country since he is 25 years old. And again why put them in his name temporarily for a 4 month course.

listen it is possible and doable. I did suggest transferring the assets temporarily and then re-transfer back
