Hello, My partner is an international student in canada. She is almost done with her program, that's why she is aiming to declare us before she graduates.
I am her common law partner, and our child is a special child (he is 13 yo), both are still in the Philippines.
I'dlike to know what are the odds on our application, and the requirements.

Hope someone can answer me. Thanks!

There is no need to declare yourself. You can apply for SOWP once she has PGWP, a job in NOC 0, A or B and 3 pay stubs. It's unclear whether it will be difficult for your child to get a TRV. The real issue will be if your child's medical needs will prevent you from qualifying for PR due to medical excessive needs. You should be aware that there is limited help for autistic children after the age of 21. It often falls on families to be the fulltime caregivers. It would be difficult with family but without family in Canada that may be very difficult because of the lack of respite care . It also often limits a family to one income.

Hey, Thanks! But just incase she wants to pursue in applying us now, while her status as international student, is that ok that she will declare us? :) Thank you!
