Hello! I have an expired COPR and my medicals have expired. I have not received any request from IRCC to redo my medicals. But I want to know if I should do an upfront medical. Has anyone done this and were the medicals accepted by IRCC?

Yes, I did ask them for an extension and authorisation letter to travel. They responded in September 2020 asking if I could travel within 60 days. But since then, there has been no communication or response from them.
This is a spousal application?
You have not heard anything nor contacted them since September?
Raise another webform, write emails, call the IRCC, contact your MP.
Yes, it is. I have contacted them and we have written to the the MP as well, but there's been no progress so far.
Push, write again, bother the MP, contact the Minister's office, call the IRCC again, etc. While there are good reasons why some things take longer in covid times, it should NOT take them five-six months to respond on this type of request (where you have done exactly what is required and indicated).
Another suggestion: you might consider applying for a TRV. There's a possibility this might 'shake things loose.'
Okay, I will follow up repeatedly. I haven't applied for a TRV, so I'll consider that as well. Thanks for the advice!
Note, the TRV step is a bit unorthodox - but perhaps some part of the process will be forced to deal with your file and issue a new copr or authorizationt to travel. Or if you get a TRV, well, at least you can travel.

Can I ask, what visa office? When we wrote webform and directly to the visa office (on the email from which we got the original PPR); we got a response from the visa office the next day saying they'd issue us a new COPR (to be honest, I think we got very lucky).
Webform - we got a response over a month later (AFTER we'd already received the new COPR) that basically just sent us the link to the page about how to get an authorization to travel - despite the fact that the webform we submitted was the request for authorization to travel with all the requested information; in other words it was completely useless.
I don't know, the specifics seem to vary and the policies changing from time to time. Again, I think we got lucky. But some offices at least seem to be responding while very big/overloaded ones (or those in more severe covid lockdown) like NDVO, London, etc., well, who knows what's going on there. If you have an email address for NDVO, give it a try.
Yes, I think we need to have a bit of luck on our side as well. I have written to NDVO as well, but haven't received any response from them so far.
