If you want to be a teacher in Canada, you need a B.Ed. Not every school has a teacher’s college and it is highly competitive. After graduation, you apply for licensing for the province you plan to teach in.Dear i have a query please
If i immigrate to Canada as Newcomer, i do have local high school and BA,
I wish to work as a teacher and i am willing to re learn in a university or else to be qualified as a teacher since it is a regulated profession.
Now what should i do or consider to enrol in such program
For example
IELTS AC
Document by document evaluation
...
Noting it would be much easier to follow up on such requirements from home before i move i mean
Kindly advise
Thx
You will need B.Ed to teach in a Canadian school. If you are landing as a PR, then definitely you can enroll in this program. Almost all universities offer B.Ed programs. Its a 2 year program if you already have a Graduation or Post Graduation.Dear i have a query please

Just to clarify there is no local education office. You must be licensed in the province you intend to work. So if you are in Ontario, you are licensed through the Ontario College of Teachers. Once licensed, you then approach and apply to school boards. You will need B.Ed to teach in a Canadian school. If you are landing as a PR, then definitely you can enroll in this program. once you complete B.Ed, have to apply to local Education office for a Certification/License. Once you get License, then you can apply for jobs.
Thank you for explaining... Yes I meant local "provincial" Education licensing authority.
