Hi, I received AOR1 on Feb 13 but on the IRCC account it says "review of eligibility is still in process". I'm the sponsor (Canadian citizen) and representative for PA. Most people get their SA and Biometric/Medical request within a week mine still hasn't arrived (it's almost 2 weeks now), is it normal or should I call IRCC about it?

I'm not working right now (full-time student) but I did send an explanation about my job search, financial status (bank statement) and how I plan on getting a job in my field after graduating this summer. Minimum income is not a requirement for sponsoring spouse (we have no children) so I hope that is not an issue.

To anyone who did BioMetrics, I have a question please

The closest Biometrics to where my PA is is in Erbil, Iraq

Do I just create an account online at https://www.vfsglobal.ca/ and choose an appointment date that works for my PA? And just make sure my PA is there at the appointment/date time? Also when I make the account, do I just make it using my name (the sponsor)?

Or should the PA do it by phone? If anyone can help, greatly appreciated.

Also on the "What to bring" on the VFS Global Site, it says to also bring:

• Printout of your completed visa application form (including 2 copies of 2D barcode sheets)
  No manual amendments to this form will be accepted at the Visa Application Centre

I am planning to tell my PA to bring the BIL Letter, Her Passport, her citizenship, and appoitment confirmation

What is a "completed visit application form"?

And Also I pre-paid my biometrics fee

You should obtain additional proof, not just writing a letter. Go on their website and download any information stating you cannot get police check unless you are a resident. The more proof the better.

Hi all,
I am the Sponsor and we used a representative (who is a relative and a lawyer). Myself and the Principal applicant signed the representative form. Application received December 15 and it's still radio silence till now
1.As the sponsor can I call IRCC myself to check the status of the application or only the representative can?
2. when we finally receive AOR, can I link the application online to check status or only the rep will be able to do that?

Congratulations on the progress. Now your principal applicant will be required to submit a medical examination and biometrics at the authorized centers near their current place of residence. You/they should also link the application online by following the steps on the first page of this forum thread. This will allow you to check the status of your application and will allow IRCC to communicate with you digitally.

hello guys received, sponsor approval email as well but it doesn't specify which visa office its going next for processing. Where do you see which visa office the file is going next ?

Same for me, the approval letter said, “The Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) will be forwarded to a visa office for further processing.” I believe someone in this thread mentioned that this means they haven’t decided where to send the application for processing yet and there may be a possibility that the application may get processed within Canada itself. If that happens, it may also decrease the overall processing time (don’t quote me on that though, just a speculation on my end)

Hello everyone! I finally got AOR and i went on ECAS to check status. When I enter my info with the UCI it works, but if i enter my spouse's info it doesn't. Does the applicant receive a different UCI?
