Can I assume that receiving PAL means my eligibility has been passed?
I wonder why some people get a landing call from CIC and some of them are not.

Ohhh, no. You're still waiting for COPR.

Quite ridiculous by IRCC. That's why they need immigrants in Canada

I have a question.
My status submitted after checking upfront medical test. Today I logged in gc key again it said updated again. But I did not see any differences. Is it ghost update? And I just got an email from ircc the title said we are waiting to hear from you!
What is that??

Congrats. seems pretty smooth for you just a little over three months after AoR.
Thank you. I think this is a good sign to all who AR in may 2020. We started getting DM who AR in may. It is moving.

I think I'm a good example of upfront medical WILL have the chance of speeding up the entire process. As I saw many of applicants their AR and AOR is later than I do but they got MR ahead of me. So I decided to go for upfront medical anyways as I should have gotten the request somehow IRCC might just forgot to send it out to me (they do make mistakes sometimes). Turned out I got all background check completed ahead of them.

I do suggest inland applicant to consider to do upfront medical if any applicant got MR which his AR/AOR is similar with yours. My own opinion tho.

AR: July 7, 2020
AOR: Jan 15, 2021
Bil: Jan 18, 2021
Bil completed: Feb2 2021
Upfront medical: Feb 3, 2021

Updates:

Background check
We are processing your background check.

My medical exam still shows “we don’t need your medical exam at this moment”.
I thought the MR should come first?
Is it a normal process?
Please advise, thank you

Has anyone here been transferred to a more local VO after all processes were passed (Eligibility, Criminality, Medical, Security) in Sydney CIO and are now awaiting DM? Curious on the timeframes. In my case I am looking at insights into Newfoundland's VO speed of processing, so if you are in the NLPNP stream and are transferred to the local St. John's Visa Office let me know.

Thanks
