Seniors please assist:

My spouse has received LOA from Sheridan college. It's a graduate certificate program of one year (3 semesters with co-op term). As per LOA, the duration of program is from May 2021 to August, 2022.

Please guide whether she'll get 1 year or 3 year PGWP. We contacted the college, however, didn't get any response.
It means that it would take 3 semesters to complete one year of study in that program. The co op is already included in the length defined by the school because it is a requirement to complete that program successfully. So If the school has defined the program as a one year program then he is getting a one year PGWP.

Thanks! I am located in Halifax, NS. I thought you meant the locations for those who apply on paper.

Thanks for the update, sorry for one correction. Course consist of 3 semesters for 1 year plus 3 months of additional co-op term. Will this qualify for 3 years of PGWP after 15 months of study

Okay. It depends on what the school has stated as his length of program.

On his letter of Acceptance how many years or terms has the school written under the section ''Defined length of program:'' or Years of Full Time Study?

Has nothing to do of where you apply from.
All PGWP applications are usually sent to one office.

So what does it have to do with? Because that is what I am trying to figure out. Even if PGWP applications are being sent to one office, it doesn't mean that the officers are not designated to different regions or prioritizing one region over the other. How else would you explain the non-proportional processing times? If the applications are being collected turn by turn from one big stack, then you won't have most applications taking 3-4 months while others are taking just 10 days.. Except you have a counter theory... If people from all different regions have their applications processed within 10-20 days then we can rule out regional focus and lean towards the processing being done randomly.

I agree. We are a group of 20-25 classmates who applied on 14th and 15th january respectively. We all are from ontario. None of us are even in the eligibility review.

update - my eligibility review started 5 minutes after I posted this comment.

You do have to understand that not any two applications can be 100% same.
Some require additional review, when they're sent to local offices as we've seen here in this thread.

Just so you're aware, PGWP being approved in 10-20 just started in January.
But again, it won't matter where you apply from.
If someones' application is being still processed from 3-8 months it can be only for a few reasons, merit based, or if it needs additional review.

Did anyone receive a ghost update after applying? I applied on 20th January and I received an email today saying ""We updated your application status'' I logged into my account and there is no change, not even in the reviewing of eligibility.
I applied yesterday and this happened to me today. Did you get anything new? Someone mentioned they add your UCI, does that mean they've started looking through it?

I don't know if they have started looking at the application. But there is still no change.
