I also sent at July 8th. Same timing. But they didnt ask for photo resubmit for me. What was the problem with your photos? Did they tell you?

I sent the photo on May 27, 2020, to the Halifax office. Still no update. Contacted IRCC so many times and every time got a generic answer from them.

those rules apply when you get your PNP and as soon as you get your Federal PR, you are good to choose your province.

Thanks man, I just find it funny when people argue on this topic. Dude you're a PR that in itself gives you a right as the other PR. There is no such thing as conditional pr.

Jesus, that was almost 8 months ago. Sent mine to IRCC Etobicoke on Nov 16 2020 so I guess I will be waiting for quite a long time then!

I sent mine on Aug 20th to Montreal office for my first pr card, no updates so far

Called IRCC numerous times, all they say is that due to covid I will have to ewait longer.

I don't know if I should resend pictures but they did not contact me. I called on Nov and they have my information like address and they said it wasn't printed yet
I hope they r Woking and send prs for us soon coz it has been too long

You can link your PR card application to your MyCIC account. Not all applicants are able to do it, but some can, so you can try.

There is no processing as such, except that you will be issued a PR card and it will arrive in a white envelope by Canada Post.

It is a long wait for a PR card processing. It's already been 7 and half months and who knows how many more months will be needed. I was told by an IRCC agent that first PR card is always considered as urgent and there is no way to request for an urgent PR card processing either.

Your promise and the PNP expectations
When immigrating under a PNP program, you need to consider the following:

• Provincial authorities expect you to reside in their province and contribute to their economy.
• You sometimes sign a Performance Agreement letter. Thus, you promise the province you intend to reside there and fulfill certain obligations. Of course, the name of the letter could be different in different provinces.
• Sometimes, you must post a Good Faith Deposit. Of course, the deposit is a significant amount that you lose if you leave the province without fulfilling certain promises to them.

As you can see, one can conclude that there is no way out of the province. However, keep reading to get the whole picture.

Protection under the Constitution Act
Under subsection 6(2) of the Constitution Act, 1982,

Every citizen of Canada and every person who has the status of a permanent resident of Canada has the right

(a) to move to and take up residence in any province; and
(b) to pursue the gaining of a livelihood in any province.

By reading this section, you will realize that you may live and work anywhere in Canada as soon as you become a permanent resident of Canada. Of course, there is no law above the Constitution Act. In other words, no Canadian province may pass a law to prevent its residents from leaving the province. Can we then conclude you may move out of the province despite a PNP immigration? Keep reading!

Misrepresentation allegations
If you apply under PNP, but you intend to move out of the province, you are committing misrepresentation. Of course, if you are not familiar with the concept, read the following article:

Not every PNP immigrant who moves out of the province is misrepresenting. Sometimes, there are legitimate reasons for the decision. For example, you can’t secure a job in the province, and you have no choice but to move out to make a living. However, if the province suspects you have misrepresented, they could ask IRCC to revoke your permanent resident status. However, the burden of proof is on IRCC to show you actually misrepresented.

I was told the same thing yesterday that first PR is considered urgent but it's been 5 months now and no updates. I sent my documents to the Montreal office.

I received a reply from the Edmonton office today - I mailed my photos June 2020
I have to submit new photos as they others didn't meet the requirements.
They have advised that I can email digital photos - has anyone else done this? Do I get them taken the same as before and then scan them?
