can we expect a draw on 6-January?
Yes and I suspect that there's a good chance for the scores to drop by another point. Factors to consider:

1. Between now and January 6th, many institutions will be closed for the holidays (i.e. IELTS, WES etc.)
2. Covid is ravaging many parts of the world again
3. The US and UK will open up to immigration leading many people to look at those countries as their prime immigration destination

Considering the above, in my opinion, I don't think we will see much of an inflow of new profiles between now and January 6th and should there be a draw on that date and should another 5K ITA's be issued (no reason to think that it won't), I think we can expect more good news.

Yes, the second wave is dealing them a huge blow especially in Ontario. And as most new immigrants come in through Pearsons, it might be safe to guess that they will start allowing immigrants to land again once they are able to control the second wave in Ontario.

The vaccines could also help them open up quickly. I guess we will wait and see.
Hope you're right

I would really recommend people check and post in their AOR threads, you're going to have a better idea of whether applications submitted in your month & year are moving along or not, you'll have a basis for comparison.

I got a lot of useful information from my AOR thread for example, we made a list of people who were waiting for PPR and updated it accordingly, people would mention when they got ghost updates, etc.

Highly recommend you guys use those threads, because you can compare your timelines in relation to other people's, because what matters more now is when you submitted your AOR not when you received your ITA.

Could you please share the links to these AOR threads?

Security check still hasn't begun unfortunately, so no movement for months now.
I'm curious, what do you mean by security check? All I'm seeing in my page closest to that is "Background check"... is that it? and in mine it says "processing", is that the same thing as "not begun|" or is it something else, my guess is it is because it's been like that ever since I passed my Biometrics. What's the ETA on your end?

Background check is a combination of criminality and security checks. The criminality is where IRCC looks at your PCC. To see if you have a criminal record.

The security check is longer, where they look at things like your travel history. That is to determine if you are a risk to Canada in general.

Mine also says "in progress. It has for a long time. If you get in touch with IRCC, they differentiate between the two parts. But having said that, all they told me was what I stated in my previous comment - not yet started, and that I should be patient, because Covid is disrupting normal processing of applications.

@ZAtoCD how did you know that you passed the eligibility and criminality? Did you call IRCC?

Regarding proof of funds fluctuation, is it the rate of date of submission or the rate of the day your VO checks your POF ?

Can you still add more money incase of continuous fluctuation ?
