Why?
She's like my friend
There is no “sponsorship” for a visitor visa from a friend. You have to show that you can afford your visit. Show strong ties to country etc. If approved for a visa and when borders open (expect late summer or fall, maybe) then you can visit. If quarantine is still in place you need to find a place to quarantine away from people for 14 days.

All you can do is apply for a visitor permit. Processing times may change but until borders open to international travellers again, it will be a wait.
As you told the website, it’s 437 days something. Otherwise it was 35 days normally. So, you mean the processing time depends on border opening. Right?
Any chances in January or February?

if the border opens in january (it wont as Ontario and Quebec are going into lockdown for 28 days) or February (maybe but not likely), it will not change processing times for a long time. There is a processing backlog, people working from homes & even with borders open, there will still be travel restrictions (written authorization) for a while. Just because a border opens, doesn’t mean officials want visitors/tourists.
