I don't know your personal situation. Are you yourself awaiting a test, did you already have your citizenship? ... Do you have any relationship of interest with IRCC? ... I can't presume.

In any case, I would always be amazed by "immigrants" who attack people "who look like them".

In truth I do not like these categorizations, (which explains the use of the quotation marks '' ''), we are all, or will all soon (I hope!) Be Canadians, de jure ...

But the point is, I'm really stunned when I see a newcomer (there is some evidence to suggest that you are of Ukrainian descent? But I could be wrong) attacking with so much fierceness and vehemence and resentment and contempt the other newcomers.

In the end, assuming that you are in our same boat, and that you are waiting to take your test ... Assuming that + the fact that you have made an informed decision to accept the status quo, and that to wait several years without having any communication from IRCC without doing anything, that you are ok and that you accept the situation. It is your choice and your absolute right, I respect that ...

But one question bothers me: If you are so disinterested, why are you investing so much energy in discouraging and despising people?

Hi Piotr,

No activism at all. Do not need to attach countries.. ukraine...any other country. I did not say a word about people newcomers anything. I personally wait for aor. Yes sometimes it is stressful because all of us need to make sure we get number and canadian citizenship.

I read few posts of @armoured today. Every post makes sense.

Yes it boils me a bit when people say something - i payed $630, citizenship is my right.

In the video Ahsan was calling why to have culture test? Answer 20 questions? When all of us come to Canada we should not forget that Canada has it culture, history, laws, rules.

reading your words makes me believe that the people in the video and you aren't talking about the same country. This is Canada a highly developed country and we are in 2020, Canada has the technology needed and the people needed to complete the job and implement a safe and secured online system for a 30 mins test. Maybe they are already working on it, why not communicate with the public? Yes, I truly believe in this country and I believe if people are willing to do it, they can do it nowadays nothing is impossible.

@Das67 i 100% agree. May be it is implemented. Any change needs resources. Resources cost money.

In some way it is similar to asking Mr. Musk i need flying car tomorrow when i wake up? Can he do it? Possibly

I work in IT and any change is expensive and takes time

May be it is me, but covid changed how people think and look at life. There were no dine ins for a while, no movie theaters, no gyms for a while. Forget about vacations.

I know time goes slower now because we are doing less, thats why we go on this forum many times a day. Lol.

But really, hopefully one day covid will clear

This infornation is not on IRCC's website, it's not official. I will be very careful here, they know the pressure is building up and needed something to keep people calm. We have heard many words on resuming tests but no action.

The timing!

... A demonstration is scheduled for next Saturday in Ottawa, in front of parliament around 2:00 pm as you know ... It is therefore really curious that such a bizarre and unofficial announcement appears only two days before D-Day. I tend to think that this is a maneuver to calm people down and discourage them from going out to lobby, don't you agree?

... Anyway, I communicated my concern to the lead of the organizers, I hope he will take it into account and will not fall into the trap. I hope that the demonstration will be maintained ...


In any case, even if they obtained a clear victory, the spousal sponsors for example continue to this day to make sporadic demonstrations to maintain the pressure. We must follow their example.

It means nothing until people actually waiting are scheduled for this regularly and are moving through Oaths. The timing of this CBC report is very interesting indeed.

That being said, I suggest sitting quietly after this announcement is not going to change much. As many of you have noted above, the pressure needs to be maintained until we see a proper flow through and processing of applications. If anything, the lack of transparency and the impact of recent pressure clearly demonstrate that public pressure and accountability is what slowly moves the IRCC machinery. So I hope this changes things, but I personally will be an advocate for proper action at every forum until the day I have taken the Oath.

It is very disturbing to read the last messages.

I was so happy first to read the article. Then realised there is no official news about the online test!

This article could be referring to the current online test for people ( re-testing) or urgent cases only! Why the false hope ? Why playing with our emotions!

The facebook group which have 23000 people on it is flooded with this article! Unbelievable!!!!

If this is fake news we need CBC to explain the source and integrity of this news.

Disappointing there's no link or official announcement but CBC is usually pretty reliable, I'd expect there will be an announcement of some kind in the next little while.

No doubt about CBC, I am pretty sure this information came from IRCC but how reliable IRCC has become? We saw in September they came out with a pilot project in Vancouver, well nothing happened since. Then samething on twitter, silence again then now this. Even if they update their website I will personally believe it when people will start reporting being invited and taking the test.
